I cannot find adequate words to express how good this is. This is not even the kind of music style or genre I normally appreciate, but I make an exception here because at every level the Bee Gees are so incredibly good at what they do that I cannot help but sit back and be blown away. It's not just the songwriting craftsmanship of something that is arguably the perfect power ballad, its the incredible delivery. Their vocal harmonies are unmatched and they chose the perfect person to share this with in Céline Dion who doesn't only deliver this perfectly and sing with them as if she's been singing with them for years. NOBODY else I know of even contemplates, let alone executes with such ease this level of vocal collaboration and synchronicity that so perfectly compliments each other. This was so hauntingly beautiful when it was released. When my wife's mom passed away due to cancer in 1999 we played it at her funeral. It was so powerful we could not play it without everyone crying. This is the first time in over 20 years i have listened to this song and I think not only of my wife's mom but both my parents who passed in 2017 and 2021. I've been a long time fan of the BeeGees but I didn't really go deep into their catalog until my later years. Once I did I found this song. The first time I heard it I thought my heart would break. The lyrics and the feel of the song are so real for me. Every word spoke to me. There are so many that have gone from my life. Lost in time. I loved them all. I just wish I had the chance to tell them. We are NOT immortal. Going forward... no regrets.
