Maurice was the man in the middle. Keeping the peace between the brothers. Maurice was always the jokester! This song was him apologizing to his ex-wife LuLu and to his wife Yvonne for all the drinking! It's hard realizing you have a problem, then to have the courage to get help and stay sober. I miss him and his brothers so much! r.i.p. Andy, Robin, and Maurice. Their voices of Angels 😇! I'm 70 and listen to the Bee Gees at least once a day and every night. Their voices give me such ☮️ peace! I pray ✝️ that God eases Barry's pain of losing and missing his brothers. 💟 Bee Gees forever! We all know that Barry and Robin were fabulous singers but it was great to hear Maurice's voice not very long before he passed away. I personally love this song
@Rain Murphy The same thing happened to my mum. It's extremely hard to diagnose the problem. We waited all day and nothing was done. There was a shift change and a new doctor walked in, took a quick look at her chart and she was operated on very soon after. He obviously had experience to pick up on the problem so quickly. Had Maurice been diagnosed he would have survived. I always feel very sad saying that. He was far too young to die at what is thought to be one of the best hospitals. I wouldn't say it was painful. Mum was bleeding internally and having seizures. It was extremely painful for us watching her and waiting for someone to do something. I'm sorry to hear about your step sister. I hope something can be done to help her.
Love Maurice Gibb. He wasn’t in the spotlight like Barry and Robin but the BeeGees wouldn’t be the group that they were without Maurice. Multi talented and had the most beautiful SMILE. Love this song ‘MAN in the MIDDLE’. Sounds like he was the man in the middle trying to keep Barry and Robin on good terms.
Maurice was the mediator between Robin and Barry. Robin was very competitive with Barry due to jealousy. I saw an interview where Maurice made a reference about being the man in the middle and he said it was the story of his life. Robin was very moody based on what I've read and heard. I don't think they would have all stayed together as a group and lasted if it hadn't been for Maurice

I love the Bee Gees, but I gotta say, Mo will always be my favorite Gibb, especially his voice. I wish he sang more leads, but hey, every song he did was just amazing. He was a huge part of the Bee Gees' backbone. And his hat + beard combo with that undying charm is perfect.

He became so attractive with his new look as he got older! That hat and trench coat were made for him! Some people lose their looks as they age, but Maurice got better looking all the time!! I'm a long-time Bee Gees fan, and I can’t believe I’m just now discovering this great song! So beautiful to see Maurice singing and smiling like that. I always loved his style. Apparently, the song was an apology to his wife for his alcoholism. I imagine that must have been a big comfort to his wife after she lost him.

Maurice's vocals were criminally underrated. It's amazing how the Bee Gees could take three very different voices - each of which fantastic on its own - and mesh them together into a sum far greater than its already infinitely-great parts.
I love how much fun Maurice was, very entertaining. Robin had showed so much happiness singing as a kid l wish he'd have brought more of that face where he had the best job ever and had such a beautiful voice. Barry is as sweet as can be and you can tell how much they truly love what they did. Never will there be another band like them. 👍 💘 Wish they could've gone on forever! Love them all!

I've been a fan and loved these guys for 48 years. I never get tired of listening to their music and watching their concert DVD's. Maurice was always my favorite. His vocal talent was under rated. Even though Maurice and Robin have passed on, it's great to know Barry is still performing.
I'm sure Barry misses his brothers and is very lonely. One day he'll be reunited with them, and though we may feel sad for it, let us be happy that they will welcome him with open arms by the gates of heaven. Until then, let us enjoy these guys wonderful music. Thank you Bee Gees
I been a fan since I was 11, and I'm 63 now. Glad we could grow up and grow old with the Bee Gees. There is not a group that can touch their music, IMO.
