Barry said in an interview that he had a special relationship with robin i can see that because they split a lot of the lead vocals and although mo did contribute its obvious that robin is the co pilot here. Barry also said it wasn't always pretty up there. Sibling rivalry was always present and mo was offen the peacemaker. But despite all that Barry loved both of them and wow the music they made just lovely tunes with pure honest emotion. When mo died it was so difficult for him and robin to try to perform anymore, and they did attempt it but it proved far too emotional and they really needed mo. So really the bee gees ended when mo died. Barry is so strong to go out and tour as a soloist after over 40 years with mo and robin. And the tragedy of Andy his youngest brother. So sad. But Barry is a survivor and he carries that torch proudly for mo robin and Andy. Thank you Barry for being th at strong and keeping the memories of his brothers shining brightly in the music they all made with love 💘
I think half of what was special about Barry and Robin's relationship was that they borderline hated each other but continued to write amazing songs together. Barry once said of Robin " We worked together musically but no other way. We were brothers but not friends." Of course our feelings for our siblings can ebb and flow over the years and it must have occasionally been suffocating for each of them in turn. They never left home in a figurative sense and that's a rite of passage that needs to happen. They couldn't escape it.
@@beeharbour probbecause they were indeed too close there's only so much one can stand of being together, and they were together all the time. I believe much went unsaid, but tension that's not something one can avoid
One of my biggest regrets is not seeing them in concert when I could. They're so great, nothing compares. I never get tired of listening to these awesome boys 😢😊
E é o rlrao da wea peicu e cara muito obrigado pela mesgem eu adoro Fátima benade está pessoa não pode ser dous pessoa não pode ser outra pessoa e cara você caramba borro falar liga deli guê falar dous dias eu acho melhor agora música
There are no words to describe how I feel about these gentlemen. Gentle, humble, funny, talented, and so very caring. Full of charisma. Listening to their songs brings me so much joy. May their music live on forever!
This medley is one of those rare, magic moments in music. Such a stunning performance, pure joy. They were at their peak and to me they are still there, forever young❤
My absolute favorite times is when the 3 of them are singing close together and singing in complete harmony . Wish there were more songs where Mo sang solo .
I liked Maurice singing Closer than Close and Man in the Middle. I liked to watch them singing with one microphone too! I'm 70 and I listen their songs at least once a day and at night! Their voices of 😇 Angels still give me joy 😊 and peace ☮️. Bee Gees 💟 forever!
These men just drive me crazy, I love them so much! So different from each other, but when they sing about love and harmonize, it will melt your heart! It's hard to bare that Mo and Robin have gone home. The three of them should still be together! The three of them collaborated and wrote beautiful songs woven with love, always love! Good men, great artists, wonderful family men!
How many times I've watched this video I just so love the Bee Gees! They were the best songwriters, artists, singers and still being treasured today. Love them so much. Thank you BEE GEES!!!
Love hearing Maurice's voice so clearly in "Islands in the Stream" and "Run to Me". It's hard to separate them from each other sometimes. They all were wonderful in this concert at the prime of life, and their careers. Live on forever Bee Gees, and health and a long life to you, Barry. We all love you.
So many acts, even pre-auto tune, just sucked in concert. Either it took a long time to get a good take in the studio or they just didn't care about their performances being that great on the theory -- not an unreasonable one in the '70s--that the audience would be too stoned to notice they sucked. The Bee Gees were impeccable. You couldn't find 5 bad notes from the three of them in this entire concert.
Ohhh love Robin and Maurice, you can see that those two were two peas in the same pod. They weren't identical twin, but they were that great twin bond. Love love them both. The harmonies out of the world. Barry's voice is so special.
Heaven to me is watching these three modest, kind, loving Brothers sing into one microphone. I adore the Bee Gees, and I listen to them every single day, and I will until the Day I die.😊
Yes it will, there songs will always be here, they are the legacy, that the Gibb brothers left their family's, cause their children sing too, and Barry is still doing songs with his son's and Maurice's and Robin's children as well, the music of the Bee Gees lives on!
We will always have the Bee Gees forever ❤️ on You tube etc and yes Barry is still here giving us some wonderful music 💗😀🎶🌹🌟👍🙏🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 I mean the Bee Gees music forever 🎶
Maurice works very hard in the upper part of the trio hitting those high notes, closing his eyes to focus and listen and really work the diaphragm to do so well. Love all of them but he does it for me😍🥰
I am turning 50 next year and I am still loving the BeeGees music. My heart goes with you Barry, having to burry your younger brothers must be a real pain....... don’t ask me why, but time has passed us by, someone else moved in from far away
Damn I miss these guys. Robin Gibb probably had the most haunting beautiful voice in pop rock history. (along with Roy Orbison). And I don't think many people realize what a prolific song writer Barry Gibb was. Incredible!!
His brothers wrote almost All of those songs with him! Mo didn't write lyrics much but he was awesome at picking out just the right melodies!!. Robin was a great song writer! He and Barry worked very well together!!❤
@@wendydubois3872 Yes,indeed. They wrote and arranged. Maurice was fantastic on arrangements, as well as singing and keyboard. Honestly, it's me Robin that I miss the most.😢 I loved hearing him speaking, composing and his singing.💜
Ps: Barry Gibb is still Carrying on for his beloved bros n yes I agree sensational voices in all Nothing lyk them anymore in todays world of Music will ever measure up to these Beautiful Respected LeGends n May Barry continue on for Us all. Lots of Luck in the New Year 🎉2023 Happy New Year Everyone 👍😉☝️🇨🇦😊
At the age of 19 this is my favourite group. I know all their songs by heart. I've always tried to listen to other bands to see if I like them as much as the Bee Gees but I realised they will be forever my favourites.
Beautiful harmonies. Maurice was so funny, he had such a wicked sense of humour. It was nice to see him in duet with Barry as it showed his versatility at harmony which was often lost when the 3 sung together. So sadly missed Maurice and Robin, never forgotten. 🌹🌹
They mesmerize me. The greatest group of all time. Just so sad for Barry being the eldest and losing the twins, Robin & Maurice. I live close to where they began their career - Redcliffe, Qld, Australia. I feel there presence when walking post Bee Gees Way. We will love you forever ♥️💕🎇
Well, they don't have one here and really hadn't toured with one since about 1973. Their earlier works were more inclined that way than anything after the very early '70s.
I saw an interview today where Maurice was asked if they also got chills from their harmonies. He said they did and always had. This was especially true during the acoustic medlys :) That made me happy to know they also feel it. 11:18 We all know how it is to hear it but imagine being the one singing it in front of thousands of people. I cant imagine how hard it must be to turn off after a night like that!
I was lucky enough to be there when this was recorded and only came upon it by chance today. What amazing harmonies that I don't think anyone else comes close to.
Robin is lovely. Such a sweet sweet smile. Maurice is too and silly. Of course Barry is the man. And the way Robin and Maurice look at each other occasionally is so sweet. Twins to the end.
Haunting voices indeed, they were and remain the greatest harmony voices we'll ever hear... How we miss those boys, thank goodness we still have Barry, and captured images like this...
I've been in steady mourning since the passing of Robin. I'm glad You Tube is available because it gives the ability to share my grief with fellow fans. The Bee Gees were a historic pass for music in general. All styles, moods expressed beautifully with that inimitable blend of voices. God bless the Bee Gees.
I know what you mean I was hoping to see them in concert myself at that time well I'm saving a very special hug for Barry though I'm sure he would like that from a new fan of his music
I have only liked the bee gees form when I was 13 when I heard you win Again it is and still is then Massachusetts was also a fav liked their songs alone Secert love and some of their later music but was only last year 2021 that I watched the bee gees evolution on you tube since then I have been hooked can't get enough of them live watching them as kids and some of their song make me cry really wish they was still here would of loved to see them live and just feel sad and feel that as I have only really just rediscovered that I shouldn't feel the way I do x they truly were an amazing band x
Over and over and over these guys show that they are the greatest vocal trio of all time. Barry's complete sing anything voice, Robin's ultra-unique vibrato and range, and Mo's crazy harmonies through all ranges. Holy crap. Couple that with songwriting ability extraordinaire. Going further than that is that the guys were extremely funny when they let their hair down. Could have been a great comedy act. I've listened to you guys since the early seventies and you've been my fav band since. Really miss Mo, Robin and Andy.
I've first heard them in mid 60s. They were Fantabulous then. And today, Sir Barry has it still. LOVE their voices. It is sad that Maurice, Robin and their baby brother, Andy, ha've passed away. A Truly talented family group
You can see and feel the love these brothers felt for each other. Their smiles could light up a room. They never excluded Andy. Such a close and FUN family. They have been and always will be missed. We have their wonderful music, may it live on through eternity.
Pues he visto muchis videos y entrevistas, les lo que pone una señora más arriba, Barry y Robin no se soportaban, cuando murieron los gemelos Barry dijo en una entrevista,yo la Vi, que estaba distanciado de sus hermanos!
We have no the Group like yours. up to the present we have been remembering for years. Your names will be remembered untill we die. "May your sons or daughters can do the best thing like their fathers ." the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and Peace from the Father our God be with you always.
RIP, beloved twins Robin & Maurice, and Andy too. Keep on singing Barry! Your bros sing with you in spirit always! Congrats on your new solo album "Greenfields", singing BeeGee songs with great country music singers. Keep the BeeGees music alive for future generations! 💛🎸🎤🎵💚
Im a huge Beatles and Hollies fan, really a lover of harmony pop in general but to me, nobody did it better than The Bee Gees! Arriving on the international scene in 1967 with the haunting New York Mining Disaster 1941, they wrote and produced countless Baroque Pop gems until they eventually got even bigger in the mid/late 70s with their dance/disco oriented music. I love that stuff too but I love their 1966-1972 output even more! Timeless.
@@nekikarol2 Agreed... Too Much Heaven (4:18) If they would have sung it like and not the falsesetto voices, this it still would have been a massive hit in 1978, maybe even a bigger hit
I could watch these old performances over and over again. They were so talented. Barry keep on singing in memory of your three brothers. Miss Andy, Maurice and Robin. R.I.P
When Robin sings alone the part "it's just a photograph of someone that I knew" is pure magic. He really meant what he was singing, he sings words of hope and desperation of a person who has lost someone loved. His voice is magical and I bet that reflects his soul. There are no words to describe the emotions that this band brings to me, pure magic. I can't listen to Holiday without crying, every single time. Thank you Bee Gees for making my life better.
What a joy the bee gees were. Such great classic songs. You could live a thousand years & never hear a better harmonious group. Long live the bee gees.xxx
They all have there own unique voices and without all 3 then we wouldn't be listening to the greatest Phenomenal voices of all time Voices of Angels 💖💖💖🔥🔥🔥🎶🎵🎹🎸🎤💯🕯️🕯️
Yes they do all have their own unique voice/sound, but when they all sing together in perfect harmony it merges into one one sound that is so unique and in perfect time with each other. I don't think that there's any other group that can mange to do the same as what thy did.
Listening to them helps my anxiety go away. I have a daily dose of Bee Gees. Listen all day at work, I listen in the car, and I fall asleep listening to the One Night Only concert. This particular clip is one of my favorites. The three of them laughing and smiling together, looking amazingly sexy, and the beautiful harmonies are perfect.
I love all there voices.. The Bee Gees always was/is my favorite group, singers, individual & I adore Maurice funny moments.. Robin a voice like no other. Barry the total package …
Funny Maurice..it's nice to see he is by himself.. i love such moments...and the voices in Harmonize..great....al 3 together are unique...magic....miss them together..
They will always be my favorite group! Adored all of them. Miss the two BEEGEES gone too soon! I know Barry is devastated for his brothers gone! I love Barry with all my heart. I’m 81 years old and I love the BEEGEES til I pass in. Going to have them sing a song when I pass! Nancy Hunter
A time of careless bliss...A time when most of my friends and family were still among the living. What's become of life as we knew it? The bee gees were all alive yet even with just barry gibb they make a magic that bring great memories... Stay safe and God bless you and your families 💕🌹😊
