I love all era of Bee Gees, the early Beatlesque 60s stuff, the early 70s (many forgotten albums full of some really great music), through the disco era and into the 80s, 90s, and 2001 with their final album. Also, Barry's last solo album "In The Now" is great too. So much music, such variety - something for every mood - never get bored with these guys.
Damn, this one really shows how much younger brother Andy looks like Barry. Wow! I guess I forgot how they looked at this age. Love this song & people forget about it. Thank you for choosing it.
The sights and sounds of that whole scene is just next level. The whole masterpiece truly wraps its self around your heart and soul. I love their old stuff completly. Don't get me wrong, the Bee Gees have never had a dog of a song. There is not one song that I have heard by them out of 100's of them that I don't like. I really like your reactions Ronnie. Your sentiments I can totally relate to. Thanks for this nostalgic journey.
I don't know if you're familiar with legendary R&B singer Otis Redding, but the BEE GEES also wrote a song for him. But Mr. Redding died in a plane crash before he had the chance to record it. So the BEE GEES recorded it themselves. It's called...... "TO LOVE SOMEBODY"
You can go even further back to their t.v appearances as children. Even then you could hear the potential. Thankyou for you reactions, there are hundreds of bee gees songs ❤
Barry's country twang during his song, "Time Is Passing By" is too cute. He looked like a Norman Rockwell painting during that 1960(?) t.v. performance.
Fun fact. When they wrote this song Barry was 23 years old. The twins Robin and Maurice were 20years old. They had been in the business for over 10 years at this point. Oh and none of them ever learned to read or write music. 😅 All 3 were married at this time.
Enjoyed your review/ reaction!❤Melbourne 1974 performances of "And the Sun Will Shine" ( ballad), and the more soulful, upbeat "I Cant See Nobody". Also "To Love Somebody" (early performance) and "Morning of My Life" sooo poetic about the experience of childhood! All written by BeeGees, the most prolific songwriters of our era imho.
god bless you on your endevors good sir. good music is good music. try Marty Robbins El Paso. great story telling . You'll be surprised how much you'll enjoy 1950's western music....not to be confused with 1950 country music.
Thanks appreciate hugely your smooth comment. The three brothers never stopped to record songs. Robin went solo in 1970 with his album "Robin's reign". He topped the European charts with "Saved by the bell". After their common album "Cucumber castle" Barry and Mo also went solo in 1970 with their singles : "I'll kiss your memory" (Barry) and "Railroad" (Maurice). Both of their side recorded also a solo album, but never released because the three brothers reunited since 1970 with their album "Two years on".
They didn`t stop writing and singing songs after. After the breakup, Barry worked and performed with Maurice (Tomorrow tomorrow, Cucumber castle- I was the child, Dont forget to remember.....) and Robin went solo (Juliet...)!!! React to Tomorrow, juliet... please!
Love Tomorrow, Tomorrow & Don't Forget To Remember, which both did quite well! Juliet's also a great song that was written by Robin & Mo and recorded in 1983.🎼
