Berry sounded just like Andy when he started at this age, amazing. They are the greatest singing writing group of all time. Berry Robin and Maurice wrote this song for Otitis Redding in 1967 but he died in a plane crash before he could sing it so they ended up sing it themselves.
You are such a sweet young lady. I come from the time when the BeeGees were just before the Saturday night fever era. I love all of their music though. There are quite a lot of others who do the BeeGees.
Mo is my forever love 💞💞💞. The one on piano. I just subscribed cause I think you will play more Bee gees sweetie .👍👍🥰. Only Barry the lead singer is alive. He lost all 3. Brothers. But has a older sister in Australia still alive.
That one was always played live by them on every concert, they gave. One of most covered songs ever. It's a song that shines thru' the world of music, forever. Watch them playin' live on MTV Most Wanted and if you can save the time, both the medley and a song called 'Blue Island'. Will leave you breathless and full of emotions.
That Blue Island medley had me in tears the first time I saw it, as you could clearly feel the love the 3 brothers had for each other and their younger sibling.
I wore this albums out as kid. Dolly Parton & Barry are doing a remake of song. Recently. I don't know when coming our. And Happy Mothers Day. 50 years ago and still holds up. Have a wonderful tomorrow
I feel like I heard this son before. Yesss this a good song. I felt the lyrics cuz like you say... people just don’t know and even the person u love sometimes don’t even know how much you really love them...
Barry Gibb the oldest Bee Gee is still alive. He released a new Album this year called Greenfields Volume 1 A collection of Bee Gees songs. He sang Duet with several Country music Artists Including Words with Dolly Parton. The Album went number 1 in the UK and gave Barry his first number 1 Album in about 40 years.
A lot of people believe (And I used to be one) that this song was written specifically for Otis Redding, and that the BeeGees decided to record after he died. I thought so too until I realized the dates didn't match up to that story. Otis loved the song when he heard it. He mentioned it in an interview or something. He was going to cover it. The BeeGees couldn't have decided to record it after he died. To Love Somebody was one of the songs on the BeeGees first international album called BeeGees 1st. That album was released in mid July in 1967, several months before Otis Redding was killed in a plane crash on Dec. 10, 1967.
The Bee Gees said themselves that they intended to offer the song to Otis, but he died before it could happen. It was Robert Stigwood who asked them to write a song,in the style of Sam and Dave, for Otis.
This was supposed to be recorded by The Late Otis Redding but he would die in a Plane Crash in 1967 shortly after doing Monterey Pop as well as Ready Steady Go in England. They were heavily influenced by R & B. The Show they are on is called The Beat Club which was next to Ready Steady Go and Top Of The Pops (which is still on the air) the biggest UK Show in Music.
@@DTSQUAD I've had a lot of unimaginable stuff happen to me throughout my life when I see you I soften my bitter heart it's people like you that keep me grounded when I feel like letting go so thanks for being you hun
It looks like you were trying to say many people dont react to these videos because they really do not appreciate how good they were. You are probably right, I think its because they never heard of them or dont like their romantic style. You always seemed to really like this AWESOME band and it shows when you smile. Can you do Massachusetts (live) or Reaching out?
@@DTSQUAD In my opinion, the "Bee Gees - Massachusetts (One For All Tour Live In Australia 1989)" is the best version because you get to see their backup singers and there is some wonderful harmony at the end that is not included in their studio recording.
Love your BeeGees reactions Dalisa. There is a hardcore blues version sung live by Janis Joplin from the 1971 Dick Cavett show before she died. Tamari would jam to the Janis version. Watch "Janis Joplin - To love somebody" on RU-vid ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fkGUt4QYc08.html
