I grew up with the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the best falsetto voice ever, & what makes it so incredible, is that in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this, they were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed, & they span over years, & crossed many genres 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️
When brothers or sisters sing together there is a harmonic component that cannot be matched. I was never a big Bee Bees fan, they were just not my style but I got a lot of hate from my friends over my opinion. They were super popular.
The Brothers Gibb --- Professionally known as the Bee Gees Background info (I'll try to make it short) 😁 (1) Maurice Gibb (on our right - short hair) - pronounced Morris, fraternal twin of Robin. He passed away in 2003: entered the hospital for surgery for intestinal problems. He had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He was in the hospital for 2 days before he passed. (I heard Barry say this in another video.) He was 53. (2) Robin Gibb (on our left - long hair) He passed away in 2012 from colon cancer which lead to liver/kidney failure. He was 62. To me, he and Maurice were the comedians, but knew when to become serious when it was time to handle their business. (3) Barry, ( middle man ) is the eldest. In another video clip, he said, "I am the last man standing." On September 1, 2021, he will celebrate his 75th birthday, which will also be his 51st wedding anniversary with his wife, Linda. (4) Andy (not pictured) was the youngest brother. He had a successful solo career. He passed in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry said, "He lived the LA lifestyle of drugs." He and Barry could had passed as identical twins. These men were phenomenal musicians and songwriters! They have sold over 220 million records worldwide ... probably more by now. They composed their own songs, as well as wrote for other singers. Many singers have covered their songs. He is called Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb. In 2018, he received his knighthood from Buckingham Palace. Barry, Robin and Maurice's son, Adam received awards from Buckingham Palace for their contribution to the music industry. In 1977, Barry saw 5 of his songs simultaneously enter the 'Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100' and, for one week in March, three of the top five songs were written by him. On a sidenote: There is a sister, Lesley, who is the first born. She was 76 years old, back in January, 2021. She lives a quiet life. She never had a desire to be in the limelight. Although, I read that she can sing. We can call her the 'Queen Bee.' Barry continues to write and produce. His recent CD was released January, 2021. 'Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook Vol 1." It was a highly anticipated project, and was sold within weeks. It features other artists singing songs from the brothers' collection. The singers could select the song of their choice. (They were good friends with Michael Jackson.) REACTION to: How Deep Is Your Love --- Emotion: (written for Samantha Sang - Bee Gees background vocals) -- Staying Alive --- You Win Again (a different voice range for Barry)
The two brothers on the ends Maurice and Robin are fraternal twins. I wonder if that has anything to do with the sound? Berry in the middle was the oldest.
It's funny you say that they look a lot younger here then in their previous video (How Deep Is Your Love), because this song/video actually came out a year AFTER that song. :)
