Andy was the youngest who passed away from aheart related condition at the age of 30. Robin and Maurice were twins and theres Barry plus they have a sister.
That’s Andy, he was my first crush. ❤️ He was 9 years younger than Robin and Maurice, and 12 years younger than Barry, so he was never officially a part of the group but he did have a very successful solo career in the late 70s. He was the first artist ever to have his first 3 singles (I Just Want to Be Your Everything, (Love Is) Thinker Than Water, and Shadow Dancing) reach #1 on the Billboards chart. Sadly, he became involved with drugs and alcohol and died from a heart inflammation just a few days after his 30th birthday. 😔
I remember when Andy passed away, and I was there - really young myself - saying "But he can't be *gone*! He's too young!" It was a rough life lesson to learn from someone who had made music that brought me joy, solo & with his brothers.
Open shirts, gold chains, bell bottoms and a groove were disco accessories. BeeGees, in the second phase of their career, were the kings of Disco with songs like You Should Be Dancing, Stayin' Alive and Night Fever.
Umm baby cakes, there's only 1 BeeGee left, and he's looking a little long in the tooth. I've always hoped that he could drop the celibrity lazy fat, put on some big hair, and make a comeback. Works for me!
@@willboudreau1187 Ummm…..drop the celebrity lazy fat?!? 😬You’ve gotta be kidding….that was actually just said?!?! 🙄There’s fans who look up to icons such as Barry & know what they’ve gone through over the course of their life, but especially recent years…..& then there’s those who are at the bottom of the pit🤬! And there you have it…..learn to be kind & not an enormous a__hole😜!!!
I was at that concert in Houston in June of 1979. Yes. the younger brother joined them for this last song. John Travolta also made an appearance. He was in Houston filming Urban Cowboy at the time.
Late to the Angela Day One Reacts party. The youngest brother, Andy. as some folks mentioned, he sadly past away as very young man. So sad that so much talent get silenced so soon. Thanks for another great video, Angela. Binge watch continues...lol :)
That fourth one is andy gibb the youngest brother he was suppossed to join the bee gees but he died of mycarditis only 5 day after his 30th birthday, in 2003 Maurice the other one with the beard died and the 2 brother left went on as the brothers gibb until 2009.When Robin died in 2012 the Bee gees officially ceased to excist. Sir Barry The oldest now 75 years old is still performing with Family members. They will always be remembered as one of the greatest bands and singer songwriters.
I was only a little kid when the movie came out but there was a person (even us kids) who didn't own the record and know every song on the soundtrack. I think the Bee Gees are the only Disco band that still holds up today. Not one song but a ton of them.
Andy Gibb the youngest who unfortunately died when he was about 30. He had similar features to Barry (tall one) and I believe they wrote a song for him Wish you were here. React to Stayin alive (upbeat) and Love you inside out. Your smile can light up the entire room!
Another song about Andy is “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” At least that’s what many Bee Gee fans want to believe & it’s one of Robin Gibb’s greatest vocal performances.
Andy Gibb there singing with Maurice..he had a great career in his own right..and was going to actually join the Bee Gees permanently but died of heart failure before that happened..maurice also died of heart issues on fhe operating table
As someone who grew up on The Bee Gees, from long before Saturday Night Fever fame, it makes me so happy to watch you being moved to dance by the music, because that's exactly what's supposed to happen. I'm so glad you get it :)
Probably the most underrated of the great Bee Gees' disco songs. It has 2 excellent concurrent guitar riffs, 3 great horn sequences, great drums including regular and bongo, and of course lyrics that are groovy, make sense and easy to hear. This song really moves along.
And my favorite bass line of all time. If I come to this song in a Playlist, I'll repeat it two or three times. It's infectious!! And that bass line!!!
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, powerful chest voices, & could sing anything in between. They truly were a once in a lifetime gift of musical genius, in every aspect! Please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ **RIP Andy, Maurice, & Maurice** ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I just have to mention, how incredibly *BEAUTIFUL* you are!!!
He was the youngest of five children born to Barbara and Hugh Gibb. His mother was of Irish and English descent, and his father was of Scottish and English descent. He had four siblings: his sister, Lesley Evans; and three brothers-Barry and fraternal twins Robin and Maurice. Relatives: Barry Gibb (brother); Robin Gibb (brother); Maurice Gibb (brother); Steve ... Born: Andrew Roy Gibb; 5 March 1958; Stretford, England Parent(s): Hugh Gibb (father) Died: 10 March 1988 (aged 30); Oxford, England
Andy Gibb is the younger brother, he used to have a solo singing career. What you are actually watching is from the movie, Saturday Night Fever That’s why you see John Travolta. The Bee Gees did most of the songs for the movie.
Andy the youngest brother, had a solo career Barry and the brothers wrote his 1st several hits for him. They are great composers, they have written songs other big artists. They wrote the title song for The movie Grease too.
Their little brother, Andy (Barry's mini me) was about to be the 4th Bee Gee until his life was cut short. So sad to lose so much talent. They're all gone now except for Barry. I grew up with the Bee Gees ... used to have an 8 track tape of them and listened to it all the time in my '65' Mustang!!! Those were the days!
What a treat to see the youngest brother Andy in this video. Although quite a few years younger than Barry, Maurice and Robin, he carved out a short successful career on his own. Passed to early.
I truly appreciate your appreciation for good ole classic songs from older groups, as the Bee Gees!! There is another song from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack called More Than A Woman. It is a beautiful ballad that went to #1. It's a definite must listen to!!!
As others have stated the 70s were their second music exploration with the falsetto of the three brothers dominating their songs. Their music prior to this is not well known as they were just kids, but good as well. I’d also like to say that Barry (the eldest of the four) wrote so much music for countless artists through the 70s, 80s, 90s and through today.
You would haven had a BLAST IN THE 70s BIG TIME , The clubs were pact in the 70s And there all Brothers , And his name is ANDY GIB The BEE GEES WERE GIGANTIC ,The fantastic 70s ,, I WAS THERE
Their youngest brother Andy was singing on this one. Sadly all of them have passed too soon.Barry is the only one remaining..These songs were from the movie soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever which starred John Travolta.
The (B)rothers (G)ibb, (BGs) or Bee Gees (Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb) are joined here by their youngest brother - Andy Gibb, who had a solo career of his own before dying all too early. You've been listening to some their disco era music, which we all love. But if you want to hear the haunting, vulnerable voice of Robin doing lead vocals, please react to their "Heart Like Mine."
Love love the Bee Gee's. Greatness all their music is tops!! Yes that is the younger brother Andy who had a great career 3 number one hits in a row. He made some wrong decisions about drugs and ended up losing his life at 30 years old. Great reaction you seem to get happy with the Bee Gees.
Early stuff from the 60s, run to me, I started a joke 70s fanny be tender with my love, nights on Broadway, jive talking. 80s you win again, 90s Alone, for whom the bell tolls. So many, so many ....
Jive Talking Was a big hit in 1975 ,, TRY it youl like it ,,, I PROMISE ,, Your very pretty by the way , Like your reactions, You would have loved being a 70s Kid ,Take care
'My woman takes me high, my woman keeps me warm', and 'What you doing there laying there on your back', it's a great song which was in the film 'Saturday Night Fever' hence John Travolta. The other brother was Andy Gibb, who was a solo artist and sadly, died young.
You might try their song Tragedy, but get their studio version where they are actually recording along with Barry’s sound effect which is pretty cool as well.
This is one of the few times the youngest brother, Andy Gibb, got to join them. He's a singer & Barry and the boys help Andy write songs & produce them.
@@DayOneReacts well you could do a revisit to - On My Own, that is one song that never gets old. How about Gladys Knight & the Pips, Midnight Train to Georgia. I just stumbled upon your page a few days ago, you're very entertaining, love the honest reactions to the music videos.
I love seeing new BEEGEE fans I seen your videos and love your reaction to all the BEEGEE songs and you are now a 70s girl when it comes to great music
She would have fitted right into the 70’s vibe, starting right at the beginning with Stevie Wonder and Marvin and soak up all the magical dance tunes from then on. Damn but I miss those days.
Wow! I did not know that Andy had performed with them. That was cool to see. Andy had a pretty decent solo career, and he has that classic Bee Gees sound, but he makes it all his own. Also, I believe that Barry collaborated on the writing of many of Andy's hits. Although he was the youngest Gibb sibling, sadly, he was the first to pass away. Please check out Andy's songs "I Just Want To Be Your Everything", "Thicker Than Water", and "Shadow Dancing". Also check out "Emotion" by Samantha Sang. Berry does back up singing on that song and it's astonishing how much she and he sound alike. Talk about harmonies.
That's their younger brother Andy Gibb who had 3 #1's in a row solo. Check out "Shadow Dancing" by Andy. All 3 of Andy's #1's were the same time as his older brothers. Bee Gees owned the mid to late 70's.
The other fellow is their youngest brother, Andy Gibb who had a solo career. He was the first of the brothers to die. He died at the height of his career at a tender age.
The Bee Gees recorded the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack starring John Travolta. That’s why you see him dancing to their song: those scenes are taken from the movie.
They never considered themselves a disco band. What they thought they were doing was creating a Miami sound. These songs were already written when they were asked for songs for the movie sou dyrack Saturday night fever. They were on a creative writing roll for their next album, didn't want to interrupt the creative process to stop and make new songs for a low budget movie so they gave them what they had previously written. The rest is history.
Little brother Andy Gibb. Loved him too! It wasn't hard to tell what family he belonged to. He had so many hit songs. He and Barry were very close even with the age difference. I think his first hit was I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. Great video.
Happy Man--Andy Gibb w/Marie Osmond...the gorgeous Andy hosted Solid Gold & appeared as a guest on many shows--sang with everybody under the sun, so very talented
You have to watch Saturday Night Fever if you haven’t seen it… the whole soundtrack is basically The Bee Gees except Tavares and Samantha Sang (those songs are 🔥🔥🔥 also!!!
@@TallyDrake my mistake. Emotion by Samantha Sang was originally supposed to be on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack but was put on the soundtrack of another movie.
I saw this movie when it first came out. I was nor a very good dancer but my girl friend,at the time, was...she entered a contest of around 20 dancers and won. She did a complicated version of the "hustle"....great memories.
Hi, If you like Bee Gees then give these songs a try! 1) Bee Gees - Love You Inside Out 2) Bee Gees - Love So Right 3) Bee Gees - For whom The Bell Tolls. 😁😎😁
Your reaction is priceless.... the 4th is the younger brother Andy. who was a solo artist until his untimely death. I love your reactions and your smile charlie c.
Robin , Maurice , and Barry Gibb are the Bee Gees , but they have a younger brother also . Andy Gibb had a solo career . One of his songs is Shadow Dancing . He sounds much like his brothers .
