Beechdrops, an Unassuming Flower of Fall 

It's easy for some native plants to go unnoticed in the forest, especially if their bloom doesn't outshine the colors around them. In this video we take a look at one of the coolest fall flowers. Epifagus virginiana, or beechdrops, is an obligate parasitic plant. Find out how this plant survives and reproduces with the help of its host, the American beech, Fagus grandifolia.
