It's fascinating how often you encounter a name that is un-googleable. It's kind of the opposite problem of trade marks: they need to be unique so they're often misspellings of actual words (e. g. "lazer") so they're actually very easy to search for.

Do you know what I really love about this? There is a systems programming language called Beef, which I use. When I try to look up Beef, I get beef. When I look up beef programming, I get this. Fucking hell.

11:30 I knew of a project that not only had clicks logged, but full mouse movements way before it was perceived as something possible. They knew where your mouse was hovering. :D And yeah, that is relevant for a lot of people.

I guess I’m being to naive. I know some of that day may be required for the browser to display the site properly. But why is most of that data even available to begin w/. I do what I can to obscure my presence online. But it’s just ridiculous how much data is being offered up for free combined w/ the profiling that the tech companies do. Everything needs to be encrypted.

6:05 why is it required to install it? Why isn't it a preinstalled image, where only the BeEF settings need to be set? Shouldn't be too hard to at least make an image with preinstalled Ruby, sqlite, webserver and so on?

I don't get it. So much of this information looks like it'd be easy to spoof or hide and any browser that truly decided it would be security-minded. Yet not even more niche browsers offer something like screen-size spoofing or click/input obfuscation/spoofing.

This explains why every time the ITSec team starts playing around with these tools we have an increase in IT incidents. I know they are trying to protect the enterprise, but they should be a bit less Nija about the whole thing. Sometimes the fix is worse than the actual threat at the time.
