hmm, watching this series so far it's obvious that beef doesn't play RPGs that often and when he does he prefers not using mage/wizard characters.

It annoyed the hell out of me that you had two familiars at full stamina and your sitting there meleeing for 1 damage.

I love how Leila doesn't seem to care about the fact that there's a cat floating around in mid-air when Drippy's carrying him.

I love this series! I think you are doing really well. I look forward to a lot more videos!

it's so weird, normally i only like to watch a couple series on one channel that all relate i.e. only minecraft and ftb or something but with your channel its like i absorb all you commentary and hurl it out in the form of a bright smile XD love all your videos no matter the genre haha

tidy has a much bigger semantic footprint in welsh english - not just 'neat' (ie 'great!' or 'excellent!') but also 'a lot', 'very (good)', the general sense of a positive intensifier. Also, did no one else learn the nursery rhyme "Ding Dong Dell" when they were tots? The cat, mice, water, well, tommy stout etc are all from that rhyme. I loved the twist they put on it when I first saw it.

I just posted a comment about this til I scrolled down to see your comment. I started the game and just did level grinding for 3 hours. This dungeon was a cake walk with a level 8-9 first familiar.

- Oliver is a Magician, Makes him use normal attacks which deal 1 damage - Mitey is a sword user, feeds him cake which boosts magic attack and buys him a kitchen knife which give 2 attack and 2 magic attack instead of getting the sword which gives 6 attack.

Why would you melee attack with Oliver?!? O_O

he is not saying tidy in the sense that he means something is neat, the context he uses it in means he finds whatever it is 'good'. It is a fairly common and colloquial term in britain

Unnecessary time in these videos is fine, IMO the more content the better, this is such an enjoyable game to watch. I would even go so far as to ask you keep any grinding in the LP! (Though I understand that's not entirely likely :P). Loving this LP Beef, really nice game so far.

Think heading out into the plains for that spring water and the flowers might be a worthwhile endeavor at this point Beef. But don't lose hope, you will totally get the hang of it!

remember beef you can cancel any attack/defend you initiate to step back if you're low on health. also use your provisions as well (that's your food items that restore HP,MP, and status affects. sometimes healing spells don't restore a lot of health, and you want to save some magic for attacks

Beef loving the series but i have a little advice. 1. Don't physically attack with Oliver, his role is the caster. Physically attacking with him will always result in you taking more damage then you can give out. 2. You can press the circle button to stop defending. 3. Unless I'm mistaken you haven't equipped the knife and shield you bought for Mitey. Hope this helps a bit :)

I just started this game about a week ago and the first thing I did was spend 3 hours in the forest outside Ding dong Dell just leveling up my character and my first Familiar. We entered the sewers at this point in the game at level 8 and came out at level 10 becaus eI just kept letting the mosteres respawn since they pay better EXP. With the well worn sword attached to the first familiar he swings at about 15-20 with each attack at level 9-10.

now that you mention it, I got this little song in my head from an old cartoon show I saw and the mouse was singing "Ding Dong Dell Fuzzy's in the well, who pulled him out?" and my mind just finished it with the Tommy Stout o.o;;

Beef because of how much Drippy likes to explain EVERY SINGLE THING in the game I don't think you have to have the star on as long as you pay a little attention to what he says.

I'm 14 and I find this game not very challenging even in normal mode... Even though beef is not that good I like watching his videos... They're really entertaining

U rock beef

Beef, when you can cancel all of your actions before the timer runs out by pressing O. This can be useful when defending because you are just standing there sometimes when you should be running away.

Combat is brutal in this game early on as evident by your fight with the naja. It gets easier until you enter a new area where tougher enemies are waiting to destroy you again.

He actually had plenty of mana because of a blue orb for some heals and then a few fireballs. Instead, he was charging in and doing 1 damage.

Aw damn beef, I just realized that I had add block enabled after reinstalling windows! Sorry!

I would also recommend saving all of your magic for healing touch early on, only use fireball on stronger enemies and use cut loose when there are multiple enemies since it is aoe. Also remember you can cancel your defend with O and run away instead of waiting for it to run out

Keep the guiding star back on, this game is long enough without you being lost.

When in battle with yourself, use magic. With Mitey use attack, and Cut Loose. And with Lemahl use only the Psyche Up. Play to their strengths while at low levels, and remember to use defend.

Dont forget using 10 mp on casting Cut Loose for a single target which deals 4-9 damage instead of fireball which uses 4 mp for dealing 16+ damage. And going against a frog uses water skills with Mitey which has a weakness to water.

i was stupid and sold all my provisions before i starte the dungeon and i totally agree with you because mana restoration items are quite exspensive and rare

You can cancel an action with o I think. So you don't have to defend for so long that the enemy gets close, or you can hit the enemy once or twice and get away so they don't get a chance to hit you, loving the series beef! Thanks :)

All you people saying Beef shouldn't attack with his mage are crazy. I've played multiple RPGs and D&D and WoW. My mage always did his best* when I ran up and smacked guys in the face with a stick. Go Beef! * best means player's best. May not have been playing character as intended.

Don't underestimate that fireball, "yer a wizard beef, use yer wand..."

Beef all you have to do is grind a few levels and you will be fine. Use Mitey as much as you can, he is going to be your best damage dealer.

Don't grind, Beef, just muddle through it.

This is the cringiest episode that exists on this let's play because it's like Beef, for just this episode, does not understand how levels and attack damage works.

beef oliver is a ranger a ranger is weak in melle combat use it to cast a fireball, change it with mitey, use mitey to do some dmg then pay attention when the enemy when he is starting to channel a spell, call on lamahl and use the go wild thing to intrerrupt his channeling, get mitey back do some more dmg, change to oliver another fireball and so on... when you'll lvl up lamahl i think you can use it to burst some dmg with him... and i think the sharpeness is applied on lamahl not on other char

Well remember that normal people can't see magic, so they probably can't see Drippy or the clothes, since they were made of something magical/ out of their world. (A tree in the sky I think - I can't help but think Laputa when I hear that.)

I thought I was the only one on the entire planet who'd gotten that. Gods this guy needs to get some help with his strategy. Use your provisions to heal up and save your magic to spam fireball.

I'd be very surprised if some grinding was not the answer. This a JRPG after all.

just so you know, you can use your items like the loaf of white bread while in battle, so you dont have to waste your magic on healing touch :)

You should use Lemahl with "Psych Up" more and then "Go Wild" with him, I guess there was a reason why Drippy told Ollie-boy about that ability...! ;D

And I think at the very end of the game Oliver will wake up and have the doll that's supposed to be Mr. Derpy

Has anyone else noticed that no one in Motorville paid any attention to the fact that Oliver is dressed up in odd clothes and is being followed around by a fairy? Or, if they can't see him because he's magic, why did no one notice Timmy floating about two feet off the ground on the way over to Leila's?

If only you had bought the more expensive, but clearly stronger sword back at the shop instead of throwing the money out the window :-)

beef is new in this RPG element type game

use Ollie for magic, Mitey for physical attacks, and Lamahl for kiting so you can get orbs

welp off to the good ol' grinding stone lol. also tip: before going into new places. save. most new places will be just a bit harder at first. so theres a higher chance of dying and so on. star maybe back on please, other than that. keep up the good work.
