You are right Sarah. The quality of the music through the 70s and 80s will arguably never be repeated. It really was a great time to be starting your teenage years in the early 70s if you loved music.

I'm 60 and have listened to them forever and had never heard that song until yesterday and it's amazing. I didn't know that it was them that sang Run To Me. It's crazy how many songs and sounds and genres they have. 21 albums are a lot though.

When Barry said hello to the caller Donna, and started singing a couple of lines to her, those were from the song called "Donna" by Ritchie Valens who was tragically killed in a plane crash in February 1959 along with Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper (JP Richardson), RIP. Sarah I want to say , That as someone who absolutely was born into and grew up under The American & British Experience... And at the very same time there was yet another Musical 💥 Explosion taking place right along with it..! 🤔 And that was The Spanish/ Latin Music Sarah... Well , I got to experience THE VERY BEST OF BOTH THESE WORLD'S OF MUSICAL TALENTS... Both, the ENGLISH & SPANISH/LATIN MUSICAL WORLDS were just as rich one to the other... Both World's we're growing and feeding of each other but one would not know this unless you were BILINGUAL like me and many like me ... And Yes Sarah , It was an amazing experience to WATCH , HEAR & LISTEN to so much TALENT all happening simultaneously just like an 💥 Explosion..! But...My Dearest Sarah , Although it was amazing to live through it all .You must understand that it all came at a very , very, heavy price... It is a very , very long story that I believe most of your audience would rather not here or listen to what I have to say on this matter... @@SarahDengler Yes they broke up for about 18 months. Ego's got in the way (Barry and Robin) poor Mo was stuck in the middle. Barry and Robin both wanted to be the lead singer. There is a documentary on HBO called How to mend a broken heart that gives their story.
@@SarahDengler Yes,At the end of 1969, the group disbanded after the brothers had fallen out. Already in the middle of 1970 the dispute between the brothers could be settled and it came to a reunion of the band. Robin went after the break solo, Barry made something with Maurice. they had troubles bc of lead singing, they were in the twenties, each had an ego and people around told themthey should go solo.
I would say they are the best sibling group, but then again there are the Jacksons, the Osmunds, The Carpenters; just to name a few more, that just have that inate ability to harmonize perfectly.
I have this concert (Live By Request) on DVD. Yes the music was fantastic, but my favorite part was when Billy Joel called in to ask Robin something about his (Billy's) ex-wife Christy Brinkley back when they were neighbors LOL The audience reacted, the brothers reacted..... it was hilarious!!! Robin handled it beautifully but I'm not so sure I believe him hahahahahhaa
Robin did handle that accusation pretty darn well & they all chuckled over it....but believe Billy said it was his first wife, & Christie was his second🥰!
Sarah you are one of my favorite reviewers and the love you have for the bee gees is screaming off the screen. Please check out Fanny be tender with my love with the video. You will be blown away. It was one of their favorites but they never did it live because Mo said it was a bitch to sing. The harmonies are perfection. Also I am a big Mo fan so check out Man in the Middle where he sings about his addiction and his role in the group. Also Nights on Broadway on the MIDNIGHT SPECIAL.

I just recommended Foo Fighters on one of your other videos. They also have a “side band” called DeeGees. Look up their cover of “you should be dancing.” You won’t believe it’s the Foo. Sooo good.
You should react to a song they dedicated to Andy gibb which was Our love (Don't throw it all away) Live in Las Vegas, 1997. I cry everytime I hear it.
You need to check out their children!!! The Gibb Collective Please don’t turn out the lights. It’s the oldest children of each brother including Andy’s daughter. Their harmonies almost match their father’s!!!
