Ordered the mx iii iii on your recommendation , thank you 👍🏻 I've watched several of your videos and I think you said in one you were using an Xbox one controller? If so what app did you use to connect it?
i was using a controller, but it wasn't a xbox controller. I use one of these and it connects via Bluetooth. Gearbest: bit.ly/2ahsYWC - Everbuying: bit.ly/29GRhiw - Aliexpress: bit.ly/29xHI6L - Amazon US: amzn.to/29FrmdC - Amazon CA: amzn.to/2c4OemE - Amazon UK: amzn.to/2bOzyWS
Hello Alex, When you say that DD and DTS are not working good on devices, it means if I connect the device to TV, and play an mkv with DTS, the sound will have intreruptions? Or only if i want to have a 5.1 sound will be intreruptions, because I saw that I can set to PCM 2.0. Thanks!
yes, only if you have a dts capable receiver and you want to watch something with surround sound. If you don't care about surround sound it works fine.
Nice review Alex! I have a quick question for you. I own a Beelink MX III (the previous model) since early September and a Nexbox A95X. The first one is with android 5 and the previous processor and with a much simpler, simplistic and lighter interface. Nexbox has android 6 and a much nicer and rich interface. Kodi is fantastic on both of them. As I plan to buy another android box, I am currently between buying a Nexbox A95x or buying the new Beelink MX III II (which I saw from your review has still this simplistic interface, plus now the apps are not killed by the box when in background which could affect memory and resources availability and it does not come rooted). Between the two of them which one do you think performs better and is a better all around option (4K viewing is not a prerequisite for me). Thanks
Thank you for the quick reply. In a quick feedback (a sentence or two) what you liked more in mxiii ii compared to a95x? A read in other reviews that some mxiii ii devices are stuck to korean language after every reboot/restart no matter what language you set. Is it something that can be corrected with a firmware update? And since I mentioned firmware update, what about the support from mother company? The a95x has received so far 2 major firmware updates since September I have it versus 0 for the minimx iii. Generally the last 5-6 months I have seen more support (in terms of upgrades and firmwares) from Nexbox regarding its products than Beelink. What your opinion? Thanks again.
Great reviews, Alex. I am about to order a Beelink Mini MX 3 ii as my first tv box, but wonder if the Leelbox Q2 would be better for the same price. You have reviewed the Q1 but not the Q2, as far as I can see. Which should I buy? Thanks
Alex, I'm curious to know: when you test the Android TV Boxes for wireless connectivity/wifi speeds, are you in the same room as your wireless router?? If you're in another room, how far away are you from the router?? Thanks.
+El Angel the router is sitting on the 1st floor of the house and i test out the speed on the 2nd floor... So it's not that far.. But there are quite a few walls around. And as a point of reference... I try every single tv box from the exact same spot all the time.
Hi Alex! I want to ask you if I can download 17.1 kodi in this box? You know if it let me or how else can I do it?? Thanks for the great reviews you help us a lot... believe me!
We can plug in a External hard drive in the usb port and play movie directly? Does it lagg? and also for the micro sd card expandable up to? Thanks man great review :)
its not pre rooted but thought i saw supersu icon? what program did you use for root? also i know netflix is not HD but on my mini mx iii the upscaling was surprisingly good. not sure if it was the box or my tv. thanks for the great review. i bought my mini mx iii based on your review. so pleased i bought this one. these are what cable tv boxes should have be, not the trash cable and satellite companies have. cheers. edit: apparently the update os,rooted. just saw the comments. when i get mine I'll try to flash the twrp that works on my mini mx iii.again, great review
hey I just bought this based on your reviews and so far so good, thanks for your work here... I'm new to these Android boxes and was wondering if there was a away to turn on and off the box without the remote? I have a wireless keyboard and would like to just use that.
Hello I have this box that I dug out because for 2 weeks now I have no internet connection mainly because I am in France with the company Free that depends on the official company which is in no hurry to help since I'm not their customer.... 😢 Using this box I can mirror to the screen using my phone at least but for some reason Netflix doesn't show up although the sound does. Do you have any tips on how to use this box without a connection as I am trying to do. I am an older gentleman and not real savy to all this so I feel a bit lost. You probably won't even see this message.....
Hi nice review as always. I have a few questions, 1) Does 5.1 surround still work for kodi streams even though you might not get DTS 5.1? 2) Can I download Movies with DTS via KODI then play them in the player (similar to showbox download function) 3) Do you think Movies with DTS played with KODI will be fixed with a KODI update or, is it a hardware problem.
you can still play videos with 5.1 as stereo sound. You cand download movies and than play them with the built in media player. I use utorrent more than anything for downloading. Im not sure when or if it will be fixed so kodi can play them smooth. It must be a problem with the optimization of the software since the box can play those files in the built in player
Hey, one question please : you tested a 4K file at 60fps who fail in HEVC, but what about a 1080p H264 and H265/HEVC file in 60fps, and you tested it in 10 bits, but what about 8 bits ? anyway, still thinking what to get. the GT1 review are just horrible on the beelink forum ... and it's certainly the same for any other box from them. if there is a bug, it will remains because beelink don't do firmware update... so it's a matter of buying the box who has the less bugs out of the box lol. Wetek or Zidoo would be the best choice, but they are expensive... almost the price of a Nvidia during a black friday or a discount moment. the issue with the Nvidia is it's too much expensive for what it is. maybe ok for someone who do games, films, etc... but somone who only watch videos, it's too much. i'm thinking about this Mini MXIII II but still don't know. this world of Android box as said before ( ;) ) is really a mess. still don't know as well which Air mouse to get, a Pad one or not. i'm thinking about the Rii K06, but the model who do infrared has only 2 IR button :( There is the MX3 Mouse but there are no enough button on this one. i think i'll get the Rii Mini i13, but i hope i'll get used to the Air mouse who is not very precise compared to a Pad one who is much better like the K06. Why they don't put the best in ONE product lol ! a good IR remote control with Pad + a android remote with keyboard !
i kind of disagree. Beelink send updates to tv boxes all the time. Zidoo has good support but as you said a bit expensive...but you know how it is...you get what you pay for. Check out the MXIII-G TV Box. It is one of my favorite boxes... gets updates and everything works very good on it. Some links so you can check it out: Gearbest: bit.ly/29gQhTd - Everbuying: bit.ly/29aiQ28 - Aliexpress: bit.ly/28MgI2N - Amazon US: amzn.to/20Vy50V - Amazon UK: amzn.to/1odAvuY - Amazon CA: amzn.to/1RSevjX -
@Redskull Thank You! I reconsider to buy a Beelink GT1 TV Box for the latest processor and watch smoothly movies or shall I just stick with Beelink Mini MXIII II. Would be a different? Or TX8 max?
May I know in what areas MXIII II beat TX5 Pro? I am more concern of muti-tasking speed (open between apps), reading speed, Wifi Speed and Lan Speed. Thanks
At the end you say that it is actually better than GT1, but in your review of GT1 you mention no particular disadvantages or problems, if I am not mistaken. Is there anything actually better on MXIII II besides the price?
because i got to use the GT1 a bit more. The GT1 has a little issue...some inexplicable green flashes every now and than. The Beelink mini mxiii II didn't have those and everything worked just as good as on the GT1 even thou the GT1 has a more powerfull processor
Oh, i see, thanks for the clarification. personally i think GT1 feels a bit more premium, nicer housing, box and also power adapter, but that really are not that important. I have read about green screen but luckily haven't noticed it myself. Hope they solve it with updates.
Had the box around a week, happy with it. Only bug is after updating with the update app, it keeps changing language to Chinese and I have to change it back every few hours Itl happen, and I get a couple kodi has stopped messages but never while watching anything. Is a good box, I hope they fix language change bug and kodi stop errors
Question for anyone presently using this box: I keep getting kicked out of Kodi, it states something like " unfortunately Kodi has stopped, OK", and it shows this at the Home screen location. I first thought that it may be either a bad load of Jarvis16.1 or the build that I was using = NoLimits. I did a Fresh Start and then cleared Kodi's Cache and Data and then deleted Kodi and reinstalled it along with the build. Problem still there. I then loaded PulseCCm and Kodi still would stop. Do I have a processor problem?
I could not find the hardware acceleration option under Video settings, at least in the beast, nolimits, and pulse builds. Any navigation suggestions to get to this?
On the Gearbest product description page it is listed "External Subtitle Supported: No". If I understood well, it means that I can't load downloaded subtitles from, for example - opensubtitles website, into the movie if I play it with VLC or MX player, right? It seems strange.
Hello thanks for the helpful info...can you tell me do you need any adapter to insert micro sd card or you just plug it in just like on any mobile phone without adapter?
Hi been given the DTS problem some thought. Would SPMC not have the DTS pass through could you please test and comment thank you for your time and effort..
Redskull hi u doing? what's ur kodi build choice, for android devices, sticks and others. Redskull thanks always for ur info and knowlegde giving to us the android community and followers of ur page, thanks again
please can you help me with an issue which i face with this box. i have recently bought this. i am not able to see the menu options bar below the screen. it is hidden or box defect? i am connecting it with 40 inch tv.
thanks alex... i really appreciate your help. i actually got that menu bar on screen. actually i bought this box after watching your reviews and suggestion. i am still trying to get a hold of it . i am first time using android box. i am facing an issue regarding youtube also. preinstalled youtube app not working - it says not compatible with your device.i separately downloaded youtube app but its orientation not coming properly on screen. it cuts on corner or when maximize screen its cuts on corners. if you can help. your help highly appreciated.
hey redskull, i have one question! this box have (2.4&5.8)Gb wifi? dual wifi? is true that? and how is the speed of wifi? mbps? because i want to order today this box!
ya but my router is far from tv! on other room! and will not have a lag? when i will watching online movies? or something other...? for that i ask u for wifi! and how is the speed of wifi? because the router is far from tv! and thank you for fast replying!
Great review. nice looking device. You just recommended this to me in another comment. Thanks. Might have to get this one. edit: just saw you commented to someone else that no tv boxes support hd netflix, so never mind. I will order this box after all! Just subscribed to your channel, really like your reviews.
Redskull Thanks man. I got that. I got to a point where apks I tried sideloading through the ES file manager wouldn't install. I was able to install quite a few before hitting this stumbling block. Would you by chance know how to overcome this problem?
Redskull Hello Alex, I finally found a way around sideloading the apps since doing so through ES file manager wouldn't get the apks installed. What I did was to set the permissions in my Google Chrome browser to have access to the TV box internal storage. And that was it. After downloading apks through Google Chrome browser, I simply went to the pre-installed file manager and installed from there.
Thanks for the reply! You do an awesome job with your reviews. One last question: I saw many different reviews on youtube regarding GT1 and many people complain about the wifi quality of the GT1 (getting disconnected...poor connection quality). I also checked on Beeling forums and the problem appears randomly. Did you find the same problem on your GT1?
Hi, nice review. I have a few questions: 1* What do you think about movie player which can play DTS? Is it good for watching movies? 2* Does it have subtitle and is there cyrilic and central europe code option? 3*Can it play DTS audio file (WAV 5.1)?
the player that comes with it plays DTS very well without any issues. I can't tell you anything about subtitles...i don't really use them. It can play wav 5.1 in the same built in player
hey I just bought one of these, I am having an issue. I use kodi, when I stream I can watch one video without an issue but as soon as I try to play anything else kodi crashes. I have installed spmc, reinstalled kodi and tried multiple builds but the same problem occurs every time. any suggestions?
+Channel 5 well it depends what you plan on doing with it and how much you want to spend. For most video files and light gaming this will do great and it has a great price, if you want more powrt and performance i would look into the MXIII-G II or the Alfawise S92
hello, i have one question... how to get mirroring screen on phone? bcs just in the phone i dont have a screen mirroring! and what need to do? please help! 😞😞😞
thank you for fast replying! but which app to install? before i install many apps but nothing! for that i asking u i search 2-3hr and still nothing! please help! bcs i dont have screen mirroring option!
actually there is a way around the 4k. if you turn off the HDR in the display settings the 4k@ 60fps will work. As per DTS... only if you use the player that you find in the apps. I didn't try LibreELEC
Can you do a resumed information about "whats is better" between then? Another question, what remote control do you recommend? ANd a remote control to play game, some one to recommend?
everything from the software optimization to wifi speeds. I used these: Wireless Keyboard used: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-efsQouutZrQ.html - Bluetooth Gaming Controller used: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x6s-h-6riLM.html
Redskull mine is stuck at 6.8.20 and every time i click on version number it says it will download and install new version but nothing happens... any advice?
Hí Redskull tks by review I see web gearbest page somebody ask "What do you mean by "External Subtitle Supported: No"? --Does it means not support SRT file? and the replay-question from gearbest that say :Hello Johnny, The item does not support SRT file. what it means, -any subtitle file in any player not work ?? even in Kodi?? -What is the maxim speed (mbps) by Rj45 imput possible?? My modem by ethernet cable supply 200Mbps. Can i have this ethernet speed on MX3 ii?? thanks by replay
they don't know what they are talking about. srt files are supported. My internet speed is much lower than yours :) you should have a great experience with that fast internet connection
i didn't try that...and to be completely honest...never heard of it before... i played a couple of games and you can see them towards the end of the review
lakigucci most likely all usb controller won't work on TV boxes due to no drivers are available for them, but bluetooth controllers that work for android will work.
ive seen that but it didn't seem like the entire screen went dark, seemed that the apps were refreshing... on the GT1 we get like a green screen... when it flashes
Cool thanks, i was able to check the specs and itbconfirm, i have the previous version of this box. Can't wait till get my hands on this one. Great videos.
I have both Beelink GT1 and this box and it is using 5.8Ghz band and in the United States of America, I am not able to use it with the 5.0Ghz router which I have. I have Netgear Nighthawk DST AC1900 for my router, and from what I find NO routers in US and Canada have the 5.8Ghz band.
+Wayne McKenzie im glad it was useful and you liked it, thanks for watching. Let us know your experience with this tv box when you get it. Other people may find your comments useful
