Brussels is a great city if you know where to go :) Not all the interesting places are located around the market square. The problem is most international tourists are hanging around the Grand Place and the overrated Manneken Pis the whole day and fall in tourist traps for food consumption (like Rue de Bouchers etc.). Tourism is badly organised ... if I were a Brussels-guide I would do a 1 day hike from Midi Station to Saint-Gilles/Parc of Forest and then direction central station and from there to North Station and back ... including some breaks to visit restaurants, pubs,... It's perfectly possible and people would have seen the real Brussels, better restaurants, better brasseries, better friteries,... and probably also much cheaper. I would also recommend Leonidas-shops for chocolates, probably a lot cheaper than some A-brand shops. You can find those Leonidas-shops all over the country in city centres ... I guess it's the most popular shop for chocalates/pralines in the country. I'm not saying those a-brand chocolate shops are bad (you'll have to try them), but for 'mass-consumption' :) Leonidas is what most of the locals buy.

As a Belgian who's always lived in Brussels and currently works next to the Grand Place where you filmed most of this videos, I was scared you guys would get tourist trapped, but your tour didn't mess with you ; Marcolini is considered the most refined/sophisticated chocolate (also expensive) in Brussels. For the things I regret you guys didn't get to taste beers at Delirium (you were right next to it, this bar has the most different beers in the world, even though It's usually crowded and not too cozy. Cakes are also kind of a big thing in our country, it doesn't seem like you had enough time for that kind of food, but we do have plenty of shops actually specialized in cakes and that type of food (called Patisserie) and also with good stuff like Viennoiseries (we call them couques in belgium). Very well edited video and cheerful vibe overall, cheers from the country !

Brussels is not only recognized by "chocolates and beers" but mainly because is Europe´s Politics Capital, since the European Parlament is being placed there. It is a pity you stayed there for such a short 24 period time.

@Octaaf, free tours are different. The guides survive on those tips, they're not paid by the company. So the idea is that customers tip whatever they think the tour was worth. @Hur Guler, guides are freelancers and they need to pay an average of 3EUR per person on the tour back to the tour company, called the marketing fee. So always tip them more than 3EUR, otherwise they lose money on you.

according to my son ,belgium is having summer season & temperature is 2 degree centigrate.now imagine what temp.will be in winter.? obviouly in minus.the days are big/long than nights.only 5 hours of night.till 11 pm it is day & sunlight. after that dark & niight for sleep upto 5 or 5.30 a.m.
