Oh how I missed that era of TNA AJ Styles, Beer Money, Samoa Joe, Daniels, Kurt Angle, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Jeff Hardy, The Beautiful People, Abyss, Just complete class !!
Underrated? I remember back then every wrestling website and magazine was hyping them. Didn't they even won awards? Or at the very least they got nominated.
In the TNA universe, one of the most beloved acts. But in the entire prowrestling industry, they kind of are underrated. People are quick to look at Japan, British, and Spanish wrestling, ROH and other indie promotions when talking about tag teams outside of the "big leagues" but rarely mentioned are the TNA ones like MCMG, Beer Money Inc, Bad Influence, AMW, etc..
I was screaming that soon as I saw the clip........ it was the rave way before Adam Cole.."Bey Bey" we waited for them to say it an the pop was always insane.
TNA/Impact has had some of the best homegrown tag teams since tag team wrestling collapsed in WWE. Beer Money was one of many reasons ive always loved tag team wrestling since i started watching as a kid.
One of my fav moments of TNA was when Kurt Angle forced Roode to face his Fourtune mates every week to keep his title shot at bound for glory, and when they did Roode v Storm, they didn't just cut out the music to start the song again, they kept it playing and timed the cut to Roode coming out so perfectly.
I remember beer money cause it was one of the first non wwe things I saw and they instantly became my fave tag team as a kid. I remember when I got a TNA brown bag special and was really hoping for a beer money t shirt inside it
It's amazing when hearing the stories from pro wrestlers themselves about certain ideas that should have never worked or been a one off thing, but later becomes the most iconic and memorable gimmick ever done
Bobby Roode's best work will always be when he was in tna whether it was team canada with petey williams, eric young, and scott d'amore or beer money with james storm they both were two of the greatest factions in wrestling history. 💯
This tag team would’ve been crazy in the WWE. They would’ve been over in both the attitude era and the ruthless aggression era that’s how good they were. That had that intangible that great wrestlers from those eras needed
One of the best matches I've ever seen was when they went against each other so brutal and wild. The two had pure chemistry together. The tag team just worked. Both men don't get the credit they deserve.
One of most underrated tag teams...if you had a dark tournament for tag teams, and thete were mystery entries...Beer Money, Hollywood Blondes(Steve Austin/Brian Pillman) and Doom(Ron Simmons/Butch Reed).
My personal TNA tag-team Big 4 is America's Most Wanted, Motor City Machine Guns, LAX, and Beer Money Inc., and Beer Money was the surprise of the four when it happened
Beer Money always reminded me of the APA. 2 badasses with lots of chemistry who didnt need belts to be cool. I always looked forward to their matches and skits
That beer and money line is great. And I like how that tag team match was gonna be a throwaway match, yet it turned into something bigger. Pretty cool in my opinion.
That's one of the best parts of wrestling. Some accidents can spark incredible things and last a lifetime. The butterfly effect is being reused again and again.
I only recently noticed that Robert Roode's TNA intro music was an alternate version ofBon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer". Christian Cage's intro was an edited version of Evanescence's "Holding My Last Breath".
And I feel like there was another interview a few weeks later where it ended like this: Roode: “It’s NOT. Funny! It’s MONEY!” Storm (sipping his bottle): “…Beer Money!”
I really wish they came to WWE together. I will always respect this cats work and loved there whole beer money gimmick. Guys like him aj and Dolph Ziggler really deserve more glory. These guys are bonafide in ring talent, and on the mic.
I miss these two guys, Bobby is not receiving his deserved run/push in WWE and James is the most underrated underused complete package superstar wrestlers the industry has ever seen. I have honestly hoped they would reform in either TNA or AEW...They NEED to make a come back...sooner rather than later...
