I sipped a few of these over the course of filming and after a couple the sweetness and honey did become a little sickly/overpowering. I'd recommend using either a 2:1 honey syrup or dropping back the measure of 3:1 honey. Still a great drink but recommend tweaking a little if you are going to sit back and have a few :) enjoy!
Yes super simple. Like the spirit if you find different honeys it can change the flavour profile, I like a local wild flower. Also the Bees Knees week (3rd week in September) helps to bring awareness to what we can do to help the honey bee. Just a simple selection og garden flowers will help immensely.
Very true! Would differ greatly depending on the honey used - I only used a run of the mill honey available at the local shops. I’m moving house soon and planning on a big garden - definitely adding some bee-friendly flowers! 🐝
Top Man, going to make this for sure! You're probably aware but there are 2 other interesting variation of the Bees Knees: The Business (a play on the word Bees Knees, just swap lime for lemon) and The Business with Pleasure (add Pineapple juice). Cheers from Scotland! 🍻
Hey steve, i noticed that you mentioned if you'd make a video containing cocktails with simple recipes, you'd then link it in the description. We'll now you have made one and it would great for people stumbling on this video to find it in the description. Best of luck!
Thanks for the heads up Obama! I had the link in a card on the video but forgot to add the playlist in the description... I've updated and here it is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-psCIlB6tbRI.html
The Bees Knees will be 18% abv or more so it will prevent fermentation. In saying that, I wouldn’t prebatch it and keep it for days as it will oxidise. Prebatch on the day and account for dilution too 👍
@@StevetheBartender_ Coupe is only pronouced "coop" and means cup/drinking vessel. Coupé is pronounced "coo-pay" and is the past participle of the the verb couper which means 'to cut' :)
theHurl yep! I looked into it 4 months back and realised I’ve been saying it wrong for close to a decade... I’ve sited my previous comment now. I still can’t break the habit of saying it incorrectly sometimes.. 🤣
