I didnt think it was coordinated. Thought it was just random musicians seeing it and bringing their instruments to join in, but I guess I was way, way too ingenious. Imagine something that beautiful happening in today’s society

I have to "Me too" your comment. Why would a 74 year old man get all verklempt when he hears Ravel's Bolero (which I usually don't care for) done by a flash mob. But I do. Haven't seen this one before. From the number of people already at the rail when the first guy plays, I think this isn't a total surprise. But that's cool. Even better for those who aren't in on the deal from the first! I especially love to see the little kids totally awed. Maybe some day... some day...

I think it is something about sudden awakening to beautiful moments in an ordinary life from the harmony of ordinary looking people with splendid gifts and there is something holy in Bethoven's music as well. The fourth movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony is a popular piece. This makes it so much more amazing how Pauley is able to work out nuances that one doesn't hear in the performances of other orchestras. In the difficult acoustics of a shopping mall, she brings out highlights in the piece that others often miss. Being able to direct the concert without its details floating away in the nooks and crannies of the mall, Marlene Pauley makes her mark as a world-class conductor. Bravo !

flash mobs show just how INGRAINED into all humans a love of music is, countless people all stopped whatever they were doing entirely as the music began, and, all, for even a small moment, truly just appreciated the beauty of sound, with nothing else to taint it, the world needs to learn that despite all differences we have that will ALWAYS divide us, there are core ideas, passions and loves (like music) that are universal, and just like with music, an individual can be strong and moving, but when more come together and play their parts, the strength grows with it, and the whole becomes better off because of it

Easter, 2021 Once upon a time, long ago, people could gather together to play music and sing with no masks on their faces. Remember and never forget. Someday we may be able to do this again.

To see a crowd and little children really enjoying the Ode to Joy look out for the Sabadell, Spain earlier version. No bored adults on any escalators to be seen. Children climbing lamp posts and trees to see and joining in with waving arms. The pure joy of the Ode!

Music is the only universal language and I love everything about this. I get goosebumps when I am blessed with the opportunity to experience this in person. I have never felt such joy in my life until and since I was blessed/privileged to perform on stage with fellow musicians. Completely a surreal experience.

It's the European Anthem. No matter in wich form I hear it, it always breaks me down to crying. It is a piece of music, wich strikes you right in the heart, rips your soul and takes you to something greater, as if he had known this, Genious. Thanks Ludwig!

I am from India, and sorry, don't know to play any instrument! But that doesn't stop me enjoying every type music. This music, in particular, gives goosebumps and turn my eyes moist. It may be the song of EU, but it's the song of the world, the music of brotherhood and the tune of positivity. God bless Beethoven for such an awesome composition!

Oh and slash, watching the close-ups of people’s reactions touched my heart, ESPECIALLY the one’s performing and by far the best was the ginger hanging up the phone! To me, that indirectly shows how connected we are to technology and to see someone get off their phone for this....is so pleasing to me. Just had to throw that out their. Bless them all☺️
