You have such perfect and beautiful bowing. Your sound is so smooth. You know just how to apply the proper amount of weight and speed to perfectly play the dynamics. I enjoy watching you. When I try to copy you, it doesn't sound the same:( I wonder how many years it takes to be able to play so smoothly.
Thank you for your beautiful compliments🙏 I practiced for thousands of hours over many years😅 And I am still learning and humbled by how much I can still learn😊 Its about being on the journey of striving for this beautiful sound, and on the way we learn so much more than just that. It is the most beautiful thing one can dedicate your life energy to. So no need to despair. You are on the path🎻🌷🦋 A tip for smooth bowing would be: try practicing without your instrument, i.e. "airbowing". While doing that, see how relaxed you can feel in your body while you do that. You can start by drawing long, smooth bows, and then see if you can airbow along with the video of the piece you are learning, feeling relaxed, and singing the melody in your mind or outloud. Then when you have your instrument, you can focus on how your body feels when the bow is drawn straight from frog to tip on the A-string and then while playing your piece. Hope this helps. Probably should make a video on this😄
@Violin Garden thank you so much for the tip. I will definitely try it today. My teacher taught me how to do air bowing while being aware of your upper arm and wrist movements. She said it's like playing the violin without a violin in your hands and that I should always keep doing it. But I admit, I don't always do it. Thank you for the reminder. 🙂
