Ludwig van Beethoven Piano sonata n°4 op.7 I. Allegro molto e con brio 0:00 II. Largo con gran espressione 8:35 III. Allegro 16:33 IV. Rondo, poco allegretto e grazioso 22:07 Sviatoslav Richter Studio recording, Vienna, 3-14.IV.1975
This is one of Beethoven's most inspired early works. Wonderfully played too. Kempff is equally convincing. Unfortunately, we don't have people quite as breathtaking in these sonatas today. Barenboim is excellent but not quite at par with this musicality.
I don't believe that there are out there people, which don't use an adblocker. I mean, everyone knows about the adblockers. How is it possible? Not the tiniest ad comes through, pure music for eternity..
@@Beethovens.Heritage thanks for the clue about scrolling the ads away. I know about ad blockers and will look into them, especially when I am listening to the classical music. Also, the channel owner probably chose to "monetize" their channel, Which is why the commercials show up. Thanks and have a Great Life Here and Later.
Brilliant, as Richter always was, but the finale is insanely fast for "Poco Allegretto e grazioso" - perhaps he was aware the finale is a bit "quiet" and wanted to turn it into a grandstand finish
It does sometimes seem a bit fast, but then again those are sixteenth notes pulsing in the beginning accompaniment, they're really not too fast for a poco allegretto. His quarter note pulse is around 65-70 bpm. It could be a bit slower yes, but it's not 'insanely' fast by any means.
Very disappointing as usual as Richter always plays the young Beethoven as he would be some Bach .Very far from the heavenly inspiration of a Schnabel .
Well Fritz, i think you have to listen to this again. Richter is way better than Schnabel! But of course everyone has there opinion, sorry for the attacking tone...
