What pain and sadness Beethoven was feeling! How he could express this in a way all languages and cultures understand was genius.

I have always found Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata to be positively mournful. To me, it is the sound of a broken heart. 💔

Sometimes, very rarely, we find something so wonderous and powerful that we can't help but shed a tear over it's majestic, regal and raw beauty. The way it moves through us and in us, we become one with it and allow ourselves to simply exist in the moment. Letting ourselves feel every nuance of the emotions that it conjures within us, joy and passion, sadness and grief, love and hopefulness, madness and fury and a myriad more feelings that are beyond mere words. That is the true genius behind Beethoven, that is why his music has endured for all these centuries and will continue to inspire many more.

I was having a rough day earlier today, crying of sadness how rough my day is. I was stressed out. My life is full with stress and anger. My day was terrible. I found this video to make me calm down and forget the stressful and rough day I had. This music is relaxing and beautiful. It helps me calm down and relax. Beethoven's first movement from this sonata clearly leans itself to the romantic idyll which sums up his feelings towards a young Italian countess, his student. The third movement is the exact opposite - full of vitality and much histrionics. This sonata was Beethoven in a nutshell.
