Maestro Máté Hámori is a defining figure of Hungarian musical life, whose innovative, multifaceted activities aim at popularizing classical music as widely as possible. His original youth performances and thematic concert series put together with great demand also serve to win over new audiences to the genre of classical music.
In recognition of his artistic activity, he received the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit award, the Óbuda Culture Award and the Liszt Ferenc Award. In 2019 he was selected as one of the 50 most defining figures of culture.
