It's not though, just don't be an inpatient. I got my circuit edition for MSRP (had to buy all the knick knack accessories that come with it tho). From the wait list deposit date, I had to wait 8 months. I wanted a white one but ended up getting Heavy Metal (not even mad) A good chunk of non-metro Toyota dealers won't go above MSRP. There's spreadsheets that track all GRC allocations in the US. I'll link the sheet in the next reply if youtube lets me.
Yeah honestly when I drove the Corolla GR it had super nice feel to it since it was so new. I like the quieter exhaust for something that I would daily. And just because something is fast doesn't mean it has to be loud.
Too droney and obnoxious for me. Sounds better in some places. I'm more for subtle sound and air based mods that keep the character or the stock but just enhances it a little
Yeah and people are paying like $2k for these exhausts, lol. Only for their car to sound like shit. Stock is so loud already and it sounds pretty good. Intake and turbo inlet add really nice sounds tho. I wont be touching exhaust.
@@OxmanGarage lol I park it in my apartment's parking and turning it on makes some of the cars trip their alarms. Its definitely NOT quiet lol. Why do you guys want your corolla to sound like a v8 tho?
I would say unpopular opinion but it appears I’m in the majority here - stock sounded good. Good enough to save the money and keep it over buying a replacement.
Wow a lot of people not appreciating that crazy idle sound. It’s an amazing sound almost like a dirt bike. Would personally keep it stock, but this is very unique and crazy sound.
Personally, for a daily driver. I want something slightly louder than stock but not too loud like the 2nd one here. Magnaflow NEO #19631 sounds perfect for my needs.
Thinking about adding this a mid pipe and keeping the stock exhaust. To get a deeper tone, I do like the Apexi N1. It sounds almost stock but with a mid pipe added, it might sound killer 😁
I bought an aftermarket deleted cat (empty, no screens) and a matching resonator. Was about as much louder as yours but had way more power and better gas mileage.
Don't mind the sound. The performance is the most important. People might don't like the car for having 3 cylinder...but it's the fastest 3 cylinder that doesn't drain much fuel. It's one of my dream car.
As one reviewer put it, the GR Corolla sounds like a six cylinder with a speech impediment lol. The stock sounded better at idle, the cat-back sounds better when giving some revs. I think overall the GR Corolla sound a lot better when you’re driving and revving it out then when idling.
It's an alright sound but the stock was pretty nice sound wise. It wasn't too loud but it was aggressive enough to make you feel it's personality. The milltek is alright not a fan but I see the appeal.
The stock is so quiet though, the Milltek woke the car up so much! You this is the resonator delete option, you can get the quieter option with a resonator.
This 3 cylinder needs a different exhaust than this aftermarket one. It’s a unique engine and this exhaust just makes it sound like every other 3 cylinder turbo 🤷♂️
The fact that a Corolla sounds stock like that now is so cool (I know it’s the GR Model) it’s just crazy we get something like that from a stock 4 cylinder
I like the stock exhaust. Not a big fan of the bugle-ended aftermarket exhaust. Supposedly, Toyota GR department will provide aftermarket upgrades for their platform. I'd like to see how Toyota improves upon the GR Corolla. I'm mostly a stone stock guy, with no changes whatsoever.
What did it take to get the center tip aligned into the right place? After install and a post adjustment, mine keeps going slightly to the left for some reason.
Stock sounded good at low rpm. Okayish at high rpm Millteck sounded good at high rpm. Okayish at low rpm. Final thoughts: I'll get a Magnaflow or an FI
