Wild4Games I always do a check for my mic to make sure I sound the way I want to, and make sure I’m not too loud or quiet. I also check my camera to make sure I’m centered in it, and make sure the chroma key isn’t fuzzy or nothing I’m wearing is disappearing.
I always make sure I have my Twitch Chat Window popped out so I can actually read the chat, there's no point in streaming if you're not interacting with your viewers, at that rate, you might as well ONLY do youtube videos.
With my set up I built a custom fridge into my pc desk so I always have a cold drink on hand when I’m streaming on twitch best thing I ever did to my setup hehe
could you make video showing us the build even just the basics for people to recreate. i love diy stuff. all my desks and shelves at home for my pc my amps and music gear i custom made to save money. id love to make something like this. even if its just for like water lmao.
I recently started streaming on twitch and facebook. And your channel has always been my "go-to" whenever i need some tips or have issues to resolve. Im surprised you dont have a million sub. You seriously deserve it.
I’ve been watching most of your videos recently, and just the attitude you have has been getting my spirits lifted with streaming. I’ve been doing what you suggested and I’ve made new friends and followers :) I just had to really get out of my shell. Much love
Hey Wild, just wanted to say the content you create is extremely helpful for growing a twitch channel, QUICKLY. The helpful videos you post has inspired me to make a video on my experience to achieve twitch affiliate status in 12 days. I can’t wait to learn more from the content you post, keep it up lad.
I'm a new streamer and all your Twitch start up videos have been super helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and tips and tricks! I greatly appreciate it & I feel like I am much more prepared 2 really be successful on Twitch!
Again my friend, thank you so much for the tips and videos! I feel if everyone watched this video then the overall community would be better as a whole. Again, thank you for the time, effort, and quality of work that you do!
Forgot...check your audio. Make sure mic isnt muted. Can click record to test mic and desktop audio. Make sure desktop audio isnt drowning u out. And mic audio doesnt have static interference. My major issues usually resolve around audio.
My bot has an option for "hydrate" that the chat loves to use. Keeps you reminded to have something to drink plus after talking for a couple of hours hydration is great.
I've seen that used in a few streams before. I think the hydrate command is a great addition to any stream plus it helps you stay healthy! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks man, I've watched several videos of yours and I love your work. I'm a beginner in twitch with Hearthstone and I implemented some of your tips successfully. Wish you the best of luck 🤞
I have a checklist right on my phone. Something I always check is my camera settings. Sometimes the focus or white balance reset so always verify it’s looking good before going live. Also, run through all of your scenes to make sure something didn’t get moved or disabled. Last... make sure your mic is muted before you go live. Nothing worse then talking to yourself while the intro is playing!
I was checking this video out while I was streaming on twitch, and the upbeat house music really made me a better streamer by learning those tips and tricks. My stream is now improved by telling people to subscribe and follow as I'm live. I can't remember when I was thirsty for comments.
I literally been watching ALL YOUR VIDEOS!! It’s crazy I want to make sure my streaming for the first time is amazing ! Thank you for all you have done so far
Dude your methods talking to others really helps I can’t thank you enough. I got a viewer checking out. On persona 5 I streamed smash mostly I get about 5 viewers
VR Streamer Tip: If possible, have an actual friend watch your stream so someone can be there to tell you if something like audio, video quality, wrong screen, etc gets screwed up.
I’ve seen so many of your stream supports and I thank you so much! Your videos have helped me fix up my twitch little by little each video you show me ! Thank you
I just recently got my sub button and after watching your videos I have found what I can do to help make it grow and be a better streamer. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks so much for providing all these amazing tips!! These are so helpful and much appreciated. Looking forward to more videos these are extremely helpful
I do the stuff on the list plus I pull up the game I stream (PUBG) and I play some TDM while I record it. Not stream it. Just record it. Then I play it back and make sure my sound levels are good etc plus it shows me the game is running correctly. Takes 5 mins. Totally worth the time.
When you have your start up page make sure you have music playing and your mic muted nothing more boring than a start up page with complete silence. Then remember to turn your mic back on before you start
I did a lot of your tips man great stuff I went from 0 followers to 30 in less than 10 days I know 30 ain't much but it's a slow process but it's fun along the way thanks again man👍👍👍
Great tips! Thanks! I love live streaming....my personal tip would be, "Be creative & create your own layout, don't be lazy and use Pre-Made templates"
Some people lack the creative bug (which is fine) so pre-made templates are a good stepping stone for people... You can always build up from there - Thanks for sharing 💪
10 mins before... if i were a viewer i wouldnt want to show up on time just to get a "starting soon screen" and chances are other streams are starting on the hour and if your viewers arent entertained they will leave for someone else who is live
Interesting thought about start up screen for 10-15 minutes… would new people maybe join and then leave because its too long? I guess if you have several regulars who chat then the chat could keep things interesting and grow the hype.
I just started streaming and I did one stream and then started to watch your videos and I realized there was a lot I needed to do and thanks to you I’ve started to make money off of twitch
Wild tbh man I always wanted to become a streamer and I recenlty started streaming and. Before looking at your videos I was pretty lost and than I started watching you learning how to grow followers how to make ur stream look better etc I just wanted to say I Apperciate your videos
Number 8 (posting to social media) rings true for me. I did a stream on my birthday on November 9th. Looking at notifications when I took a short health break to stretch and refill my water, my very first tweet saying I was about to go live got liked by a Faze Clan member (who doesn't even follow me) so you never know who will see and react to your tweet or other social posts
I basically just draw on my streams and talk about story’s and stuff and don’t really show my face which makes it much easier sense I don’t have to worry about what I am wearing and stuff.
Hello I am a Virtual RU-vidr and I am planning to start streaming this week on Dlive. Your tips are very helpful along with that video with 5 mistakes of streaming. Thanks for this, the challenge for me is talking or having things to talk about as I do slightly worry about running out of things to say. Which is why I am going to make a paper of subjects and topics I can talk about that I can post on my wall in case I need a reminder.
Great video! It convinced me to work on adding a "starting soon" screen to my streams. My biggest struggle is when the stream context changes and I need to change part of my setup. For example, when I switch from streaming a console game to streaming a PC game, I have to change settings in OBS. It gets even more complicated when I'm going from a console stream one day, to a PC stream with Discord voice chat the next. Testing that audio before I go live on Twitch is always difficult and takes forever. Would you happen to have any tips for testing the audio quality? Is there some stream preview for Twitch I don't know about like on RU-vid?
Wild4Games I can turn on monitoring but somehow it always sounds different when it's output into the stream. For now I've been doing a recording first, playing that back, and adjusting as needed.
I will give you my super secret - shhhhh don’t share this with anyone….. Make a second account (A Bro Scrub Account if you will) this account is only for testing audio, lighting, plug-ins, ect) when you dial it in. Transfer those settings over to your Main account. All hail da Wild
Would you recommend doing voice prep exercises? I'm going to be pretty new to the streaming scene in the next few week... I'd assume that talking for hours can be rough
Unless you are gonna be doing voice work on your stream then nah! - Just have water on hand when for when you feel your voice start to go and you will be fine 💪
Love your content bro… Quick question is there away I can make sure my notifications are going out to my followers when I go live on twitch. I think I turned it off and now can’t figure out how to turn it back on. Thank you for all your content
Hello Wild, love your videos. Although I am not sure about that 10-15 minutes starting screen. I had 5 minutes long starting screen and what happened was - people came in and left within 20 seconds, because they were not going to wait 5 minutes for some random Jimmy Nobody starting his stream. I cut it down to 2,5min before my intro rolls out and I start streaming. Some people give it a go, but still many just come in and leave because 2 minutes to wait is too long for them. I believe 10-15 minutes of starting screen is only good for big streamers because even if a newcomer enters the stream, the hype in chat can motivate them to stay and see what is the hype all about and if the streamer is really that good. What do you think?
Its completely up to what you think will be best - The argument could be made with a short start up screen no one showing up or engaging and they leave thus leaving you with less energy. To each there own. Do what works best for you 💪
Aye i was the first like. Another great one man. I just adopted to start up screen and brb back transitions. Streamlabs with OBS is all you need. Thanks for the tips. I have experienced all those too!!!
How would you create a start up screen? And does it automatically set on your streams or do you have to manually set them, I’ve only been streaming for a month or 2 on twitch
Don't see it in the comments, but might have missed it. Make sure your bot/streamlabels and any extensions or plug ins you used are turned on. Sometimes these also require updates or will have sign in issues that take only a few minutes before stream to fix, but might take significantly longer on stream if you're involved in a game or activity and only have a few moments.
I would say a good thing to do is check audio levels. It's a real turn off when I go to check out someone's stream and their game/music audio is drowning out their voice entirely.
I just became affiliate and you’ve been helping me a lot bc I want to know how to be a better streamer and how to make money from streaming so thank you for your content
(I am very late, I know) Prepare Spotify / music player so when you start your stream you Gan have your music ready (I usually even let a song play and THEN hit Go Live)
Thank you man you inspire me every day you help me so much I still only have 5 followers on twitch but I'm not gonna give up thank you man you mean a lot to me.
I did this the other day played dragon age origins my last game I played was edith finch lol i do this alot or mute my mic befor I go live and forget to click it back on I've play like a hour or more and no audio great tips tho u and harris Heller are my go to videos keep up the great content
Thanks bro for the information I'm just starting out but I dont have a camera for my PS4 yet but I have everything set up to stream, once again thank you for looking out for us new streamers
If you're only on console, how can you apply the last tip? Getting a starting soon screen seems, as far as I know as a new streamer, needs at least a PC, no?
i stream for an hour .My stream is a video mix.No one sees me they see my content .No one sees the studio either just the content. My stream is not a gaming stream...I cant leave my streaming software and computer idling it freezes or crashes if i leave it too long so i get on the computer and set everything up in about five to ten minutes .My schedule is up on twitch .It never changes and its one day a week.I save my work and post my stuff on youtube .On there it often needs re editing or re re editing because of copyright issues with either the video or audio or both.Twitch eventually mutes part of my show and then it will get dropped at some point so its just as well i save them.
Someone who is very smart should hire you ASAP for anything they need to advertise. And I'm saying this because you have that spark and seem to know how to present a product or Idea. I dont know when it will happen but I really hope some big company pick you up :)
Thanks for the kind words - I am always up for a good sponsorship that will jam with what I do and that will help the community grow or educate them... Got find the right one first!.... But I truly appreciate the kind words! 💪
Tbh I’d also suggest making more time before streaming (especially if it’s a regular time slot) for networking. If you can spend an hour in a similar stream before you start and get to know the streamer it can be wonderful for networking and growth. Just don’t leave with comments like ‘hey I’m off to stream myself’ as it’s really poor etiquette... just quietly depart and say goodbye when you need to go.
Oh and also consider using start up screen for highlights reel so people can get hyped while waiting.... and set up your Kapsuli or similar service tweets
An Idea for the Checklist: Make sure you greet the people who write hi in the chat, this will might break a bit of the ice and it helps u to get into the Streamer Role
I think the only thing I dont do is the start starting soon screen. Gonna make one. I always prep with a few beer cans on the side ready to go lol XD Thanks for the vid!
Do you happen to have a video on resources someone can use during a stream? More specifically music (either free or good sources for paid memberships). To build on top of that, what happens if one cancels said membership but posts a Twitch stream to something like RU-vid with the music? Thanks in advanced!
It was actually funny and nice work, thank you. Thinking of starting the first ever live streaming - TPB TRAVEL - Travel Portugal Brasil TPB - live streaming
Got girls? Fix your girls. Use all your tools! Ha ha. Had to laugh at that one. Thanks for this vid series...I'm just trying to figure out twitch for poker...It's going slow but you've shared some great ideas I didn't even know about or think of♥♥♥
What about if i use earphones or headphones for mic, i am going to buy ps5 camera but don't have budget for expensive microphone. Can you recommend some good budget ps5 headphones.
I have some videos on quality budget mics! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vARa0f6bFDo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b1enAr1SkM0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_Gbqv3NHV5E.html
