But i have never been in love, no heartbreak but i love sad songs. Of course i love to hear happy songs too but i love to hear sad songs beause of good lyrics. And it's been like that since i was 6std.haha..i always like to listen sad songs.
Excuse me, but I believe it’s important to respect people's emotions. When I'm feeling sad, listening to sad songs helps validate my feelings. It reminds me that I'm not alone and that others have experienced the same emotions. So instead of ridiculing, let’s appreciate how these songs can bring comfort and understanding during tough times.
I totally agree with the point made about sad songs..There is so much careful thought in his words and I admire that. Still, In the defence of a genre of music that has helped me so much, I'd also like to say that sad music doesn't just make you sad though. Especially when I am swept away by intension emotions, it might sound counter-intuitive, but being able to relate to a song and feeling seen in the lyrics brings comfort & even hope. It's like talking to a friend and them understanding your feelings, which helps you feel lighter. It can even help verbalise feelings you couldn't seem to find words for so that you can accept them and move forward, wearing your scars proud. And then it don't hurt you anymore because you processed it rather than just moving on instead of forward. So, there is definitely a place for this genre of music in the world. As always, love the podcast and perspective the varied plethora of guests you bring so so much!
