Pros and Cons of living in Massachusetts from a non-native! I lived in the South Shore of Massachusetts this summer and this is everything you need to know before you go, the good the bad and the ugly. I am brutally honest, but this is simply my experience and everyone’s interpretations of a location can be different. New England was not for me, but every place has its pros and own beauty.
Let me know what your experience is and if you’re planning on moving to the East Coast!

Thank you for sharing your experience!!! I’m originally from Utah. Now In Oregon. May be moving soon to New England area for my wife’s career for 5+ years. We may have options to stay west coast which I am so far preferring. Hoping to do a trip out soon to New England to check out first.

I’ve been living in Rhode Island and New England, my whole life. Me and my girlfriend have been considering moving down south or somewhere different. The prices here for everything are out of control, especially in Rhode Island. They’re worse than mass by the way it’s ridiculous especially since there’s nothing really great about living over here that justify how much it is to live over here. You were lucky you didn’t have to stay for the winter the drivers are six times worse and everyone is six times more miserable and rude. You are spot on about the attitudes and how rude everyone is it never changes no matter how long you live there. One of the biggest reasons I wanna leave.

I can’t imagine haha! If you end up moving, I highly recommend North Carolina. We loved it there, especially in North Raleigh and Apex!

Honestly this video is so funny as a native masshole lol winters can be bad but still we get through it regardless of the severity and the whole "mean thing" I find hysterical lmao if we dont know you then chances are we don't like you and aren't interested in talking to you so gfy lmao but if we do get to know you after a while then you become one of us its sort of like an exclusive club thing.

New Englanders are tough. lol. As far as letting people take the turn into traffic, it's something people do because if they don't they'll never get out of the parking lot. lol I've said in the past, people will go to Church on Sundays and act nice and all while they're in the Church, but as soon as they get in the parking lot.....look out. I hope you and your husband had a chance to head up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire while you were here.

Lol makes sense!! There’s so much more of the east coast my husband and I would love to see so we’ll definitely be back for trips. White Mountains are top of the list :)

In comparison to everywhere else I lived, I’ve never experienced prices staying so high in the suburbs except maybe California. Just an observation and something to consider for people thinking of moving to Massachusetts.

I think time is money for them so thats why they are in a hurry when they drive. I like their personality from what I've heard. In where I live we are worse haha 😂😆

The personality works for a lot of people!! Where I’m from and other places I’ve lived it’s very laid back and work is just a means to live vs time is money mindset so it was jarring for me. My friend that lived out there with us said she loved it cause people mind their business 😂
