Makali, Mark Tau, music, PNG, One Blood. Song sung by Mark Tau AKA Mr Makali and his cousin sister Miss Hannah Tau. Both come from Tubuseria Village, Kairuku Hiri District in the Central Province of Papua New Guinea
I can't believe that I'm still listening to this girl voice a year later. Please give me a thumb up so that way i know I'm not the only one that can cry for a beautiful song and voice.
My Dad's favourite song. He and my Mum divorced over 40 years ago and I don't think he stopped loving her. Four years ago he went into aged care and first introduced me to this when he asked me to play it to him from my phone. He is now 88 and just gone into palliative care, I play this often and think of him. Update - My Dad passed away August last year, week before Fathers Day. I was blessed and privileged to be with him for his final 6 hours. First time I had to drive past his nursing home I had feelings of sadness, the Freddy Fender version of this song came on the radio. I actually got goosebumps. I think my Dad sent me a message 💙.
When this song first came out in 1975 by Freddy Fender, everybody loved it. But this girl, Beix nailed it in English and Motu, Just her voice sent me to heaven. Why did take this long to find it and reach down to my heart and soul? Please give me a thumb up if you are going to listen to this song more than once.
This young lady is special, very special. In these troubled times with coronavirus we need to listen to more of this lady. She has a voice so beautiful.
She sure is a beautiful girl and singer!!I love this song. My Mom always sang this she loved Freddie Fender and she sure would have liked to hear this version ..🙂❤
My husband had been ill.for almost a year due to chronic illnesses .I kept.playing till.now.He demised 2 years ago but wheni.miss him.so.much i play this song.again and again Loves this beautiful.girl.her voice heavenly
@@necyleis160 I'm really sorry for your loss Necy. I must agree her voice is beautiful. The hawaiian words made it even more lovely than Freddy's. I have just tried to replace the hawaiian words with visayan lyrics as my wife is from the Philippines. I still have a lot of practice yet, but you never know. God bless.
@@Dutchy1949 They are NOT Hawaiin words. This girl is from Papua New Guinea. The words are in Motuan. Motu is one of over 800 languages in Papua New Guinea.
Freddie Fenders' version is fantastic but this girl has brought tears to my eyes. Why have I never heard of her before? I am going to find everything she has ever done! This is just beautiful, thank you for this.
Seen this Beautiful young girl Singing last night her Voice is so Amazing and this is 1 of my Favourite Songs and she nailed it 👏👏👏 love from Glasgow Scotland 🏴
Old guy sitting here on my computer on a rainy day in northern California, and I come across this beautiful and soothing music. Both are so talented, but the young lady is special. Everyone should have the pleasure of seeing this video. I'm sharing it with my music loving friends.
@vanhooler Well here you go my friend. Just poured a tiny dram of Laphroaig Islay Single Malt 10, to drink to your health as well. From Northern California to your beautiful green country with its incredible music. Only visited once many years ago. May come again some day. Cheers
Appreciate your very nice voice girl! Keep it up! May your singing career brings you all the way to the fulfillment of your dreams in life. God bless you!
This little girl is a little fuzzy wuzzy angel, a descendant of those who helped us in WW2. Why can't she and her father hop across a short distance and sing for us, a live audience, in Australia? She and her father are yet to gain global recognition and appreciation of their talents. Thank you, little angel.
I have listened several times since finding this. Loved this in the Spanish and English version and this is just as beautiful. I don't know are understand what the other language is, but her voice is so pleasant upon the ears. The man is good to, but she tops him. This stands beside Dolly Partner and Eddie Fender's version in my opinion.
I LIVE 20 MILES WHERE FREDDY FENDER WAS BORN AND RAISED AND IS LAYED TO PEACE. HE WOULD BE PROUD OF YOU. A SMILE FROM HEAVEN IS ALL OVER YOU. GOD BLESS
After having listened to this beautiful song for two years, I am still in love with it. So much that I had to write down the Motuan words as best I could. I can now sing along in Beix's native language inspite the fact that I am a Norwegian. Even if I don't understand the words, they are beautiful to me and I love singing along, "being a part" of her wonderful performance.
4/15/2020.SFCA.USA.heard it 100 times and still listening to it.young lady!!!!your voice is so beautiful, you make me forget that there”s is a pandemic in the world going on.stay safe!!!!!!and stay safe everyone.
I was told by someone I respect very much that those who give a thumbs down to something beautiful are really expressing how they feel about themselves.
Where is this young lady now -- how can one buy an album? The voice is one in millions -- so clear and strong. Like a diamond in the rough -- so many things I'd like to hear her sing.
Oh why and why? My tears are flowing endlessly. Oooo egu lalokau... thanks for a Papua New Guinean and her father singing this very famous country song. I'm already with my tears falling.
sending greeting to you from Mendi, SHP. I have a best friend from Switz and she in Mendi. She's a Catholic Nun and she first met my mum around 1980's. She's still in Mendi Catholic Diocese of Mendi. She's very old nun and I don't wanna lose her. Her name is Sr. Monika Pia.
Comment from an old country boy in California, yes California has some good ole country boys, and I gotta tell you that was simply beautiful, I can tell you 2 sing from the heart and I wish you both the best that life has to offer. Hopefully I will see you in california one day. Tom
Hey Country Jack, Cal has thousands of honky tonk's and I have been in a lot of them from San Diego all the way up to Eureka. I saw Freddy Fender perform in San Bernardino. Even the big City of LA has a lot of Country Bars. JP (LA)
What a gift from paradise this young lady is. Found her just by accident as I was listening to the Tongavera5. I saw Freddy Fender in person perform this song and heard it a thousand times on juke boxes in bars back in the day. This world is full of beautiful people of all cultures. JP (Los Angeles, Cal)
Hannah Tau's rendition of "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" is brilliant!! This young lady from PNG sings this tune beautifully and with such feelings that it make you cry! Love it! She's got a very bright future. God Bless you, Hannah!!!🙏
Hannah😍 gorgeous girl with a voice of an angel... She's from my village and is very talented! This song is my husband's favorite song! I love listening to this song... Takes me back to my home 💓 Hannah & Makali, too good you are!

Kenny Smith :I have also loved Freddy's version for a very very long time.and I came upon this version in 2019.I love both versions.they're both exceptional renditions.just listening to this version, has made me decide to visit PNG soon!and who said music cannot be a driver for tourism in any country's economy???
Wow, this young Girl have a gift from our HEAVENLY FATHER and our BELOVED HOLY HEAVENLY MOTHER, which is her beautiful outstanding voice. I just can't stop listen to her, wow.
Listening to christian music and suddenly this one played. I really love this and keep repeating this song! Thanks for sharing. Love from Philippines! Keep safe everyone! God loves us all🙏🙏🙏🙏
The best cover of this Song I have ever heard. A young Lady that Knows how to sing timeless lyrics. Not only is she able to bring new life to an old song, but she may inspire the next generation, on music lyrics.
Mr Makali is a Papua New Guinean artist and the girl singing with him goes by the name Beix. Beix is Makali's younger sister - I was informed recently about that. The language they are using to sing the 2nd verse is Motu, a local PNG dialect. Hiri Motu, a slightly different form of the language, is the third official language of PNG. The other two official languages of PNG are English and Tok Pisin, or Pidgin. PNG has 850 different local dialects and Motu is just one of them. Motu is spoken by Motuans, living in and around Port Moresby.
Yes the both singer's are from Papua new guinea. They came from the central side of Papua from the small village called (Tubusereia) which were I came from. They're very talented when it comes to music. The girl started singing when she was in a very early age. I assume you would want to listen again and again by watching her performing live. A very sharp and unique voice you could dream of listening to. Talented PNG local artists 😍 Help to share and make the video more viral. ❤
I had always thought the Spanish version was the most romantic. This Island version just touches my heart do and she makes it an innocent and true love.
Boy...!! I almost paused breathing..just to listen to that beautiful voice and lyrics. Especially when coming from my own countryfolks. It sounds ORIGINAL. This song also reminds me of my childhood days. This young beautiful lady has given life back to that very old song by Freddy Fender. The male voice just completes it.
Beautiful. Just Beautiful. Gorgeous voices, gorgeous harmonies. I keep coming back to this song. There voices are so uplifting. Thanks for This Wonderful Upload. Regards Frank
Girl u gave me goose bumps when u sang in ur mother tongue. Then the guy sang.......Daaammm Im definitely going to play this to my family its totally 💯💥 its on 🔥🔥totally ♨♨♨💖💕🌹🌴🌺
This is a truly sweet sound. I love the singing of Malaki and Mark Tau. World class! Every now and then I play this because it brings back very fond memories of PNG even thoufgh my Hiri Motu is very, very rusty. The whole arranging, video productions and presentation is simply the best.
She should be on America's Got Talent, so she will be discovered. She will be a great country singer. This ia also one of my favorite songs. I could watch this all day long.
Letty..agt is so garbage..everything is staged and set up ..all those talent shows are fake and set up..this girl deserves better than that..she has real talent...the only way she is going to be big is to have her name put out there and put in the ears ...
Thank you so much Marius for promoting the talented musicians from Papua New Guinea! The other language sang in the song is a native language call Motu spoken around the Capital city of Port Moresby by the ethnic tribes called Motuans. Cheers bro👍🌺
My pleasure Marco, and our listeners enjoyed it big time! I have already recieved a request to play it again, and sure will! Greetings to you all in that lovely country!
I don't wanna wish this girl the best in life. I've been listening to this song day after day when I am lonely. I'll be there before the next tear drop falls...and it's true it applies to me in life. Love u Makali and group. From the Solomons fans.
