The funny thing is that The Worst Witch books were first published an entire 23 years before Harry Potter and the Worst Witch TV show first aired in 1998, which is 3 years before the Philosopher's Stone premiered.

Benedict Cumberbatch was in the Stephen Hawking film in 2004 it was a low budget film mainly just for tv view so not a lot of money was put in

It's not like that. It works more like, low budget means less makeup, less training, less opportunities to get to know the character and less time available for filming (aka "we've got three months to get this done, let's roll people!" Also, "the scene isn't perfect. We'll leave it at almost there, we don't have the money to pay all these people another hour worth of filming".

That clip of Cumby was rather out of context. He actually turned in a damn good performance, and the slurred speech was built up gradually through the movie as Hawking's muscle-control deteriorated.

Before BC was in Hawking, he was on a series called Forty Something which starred Hugh Laurie right before he started House. And guess what Hugh Laurie's profession was on this show- he was a doctor. And do you know who else was a doctor in his practice - Peter Capaldi! So it was a nice collection of good British actors before they were remarkably famous.

American sniper was the story of a real life sniper. He was the most lethal sniper in American history and the movie is most definitely not just propaganda. Try telling that to his wife who is now a single mom. Try telling that to his kids who no longer have their father. You don't have any respect for patriotism. Chris Kyle was an American hero. That movie was soooo predictable. It tried way to hard to make the audience question everything, but the only thing I questioned was why the hell I bothered watching that movie.

the movie itself might be too predictable. Rather then trying to surprise and shock the viewer, the movie act more naturally as something of a mystery. And plus, it's kind a rare thing in the movie about the main character screw up situation.

Look up the term "oscar bait". He was making light of the fact that "a female football player with leukemia" totally sounds like a concept for an oscar bait movie when you think about it. It has to do with what the Academy sees in movies and little to do with what he sees in them.

His/her beef is with what the guy in the video said about that character. Everyone knows that females are generally not as physically strong as males.

I think a lot of peoples reactions to the lego movie stem from everyone's rock bottom expectations when they heard about it. Personally when I first heard about t, I thought it was going to be the most asinine product-placey schlock ever put to film. Then I actually got around to seeing it and was blown away at how NOT awful it was, and that it was, may I dare say, a good movie. The lego movie is not a great movie by most standards, but it is without the greatest movie we could have expected from the basic premise, and then some.

Some people seems to think it's sacriligious not to like the LEGO Movie or Minecraft for that matter. Minecraft is JUST another pc game and LEGO Movie is just another movie. Just because it's LEGO doesn't make it good. It could've been better, honestly. For me though there wasn't too much "on the line" to care anyway. It wasn't a Star Wars movie that would've had great impact on the saga. It was a movie in and of itself about LEGO minifigures. So...yeah....it's OKAY I suppose. But not the best movie ever or anything.

Explorers is a great 80's movie. One of my favorites as a kid. I still quote the German dad in the movie to my kids ("Where's the bug bomb?") and the talking mouse ("I...would...like...some...cheese...please.")

Hal needs to shut up over his unfounded hatred towards Benedict Cumberbatch. He was literally in 3 movies this year. One was the Penguins of Madagascar, One was Imitation Game where he was fucking phenomenal, and the third was the Hobbit where he voiced a dragon who was killed in the first 15 minutes of the movie. He is not in everything, and when he is in a movie hes great.

Lord Cottington How does one have poor taste by not liking a movie, I would have poor taste if I liked a shit movie like The Lego Movie which is basically an advertisement for Lego. The plot is stupid by the way, it's telling you to use your imagination and not to follow the instructions while simultaneously selling you the pre packaged models.

Just looked it up - "Nathan Barley" came out in 2005, the year after the "Hawking" TV movie. It also starred Ben Wishaw as Pingu (who also doesn't have any lines), now better known as Q in the new Bond movies.

I like this channel's videos, that don't last like a whole movie. I mean, why would i watch 1,5-hour discussion about the movie if during this time I could watch it and create my own opinion? But this one's great. Seen Cumberbatch's "Hawking". Quite all right, by the way. The question is: why making a movie about Hawking's love story with his first wife if they eventually divorced? Truly inspiring, huh.
