Andrew Freund sits down with Chris Evans to discuss his directorial debut "Before We Go," as well as "Captain America 3" and the next Avenger films! / andrewfreund / andrewfreund
I feel like I've gotten a glimpse into his heart because of this movie and interview...everything from the music selection to the simplicity of the movements in the movie is perfect. So Chris, please take my hand in marriage.
I agree, i was really surprised by the purity of that movie, no sex scenes, no drugs, nothing sexual really, just a beautiful story but also the purity of their feelings for one another
Don’t you just love it when Chris isn’t asked about his workout routine and is actually nicely surprised by the questions that revolve around him as a human not a piece of meat (:
You try too hard dear...Poor thing. As if part of the reason is adored by people like you weren't for his exterior. Those questions are more boring than anything because gym is not fun and its only used to objectified your own body by working single parts of it.If you were hired to play Lara Croft for example I would be interested in listening how many cool thing i can be taught for free by this major studio and how fun it was to learn new thing. Women are worth mostly by their exterior fully clothed or not.You will never find a man defending a woman like women/girls like you "defend" grown men like him.
We are out there but its not really fact that he is romantic that gets you, its his devilishly good looks primarily + he is romantic when he looks at the moon, now thats a rare combination
Do people like him really exist? I never in my whole life have ever received a flower from a guy, and meanwhile there's people like him who organize late-night surprises for their crushes? Wow, this does really happen for some people.. It must be really nice to feel considered and appreciated by someone
Quite late reply but yes they do XD I myself am really like Chris but sadly it is kinda hard to find woman that want that kind of relationship these days, most of people just want some night stands and that is it, so most of the time I feel like him, i do a lot but not necessarily get anything in return.
im a dude and i came across this movie, i never watch romance movie ever but since it was chris evans. Man the movie was pretty damn good, it dwells deep into our decisions whether in relationships or business or life etc. Chris was awesome in his role.
I’m a dude also and I love romantic movies and romcoms. Funny how I found this movie though, I was looking up another movie Chris Evans was in (Cellular) on RU-vid and this movie just randomly played after a video and it was interesting so I watched it.
no we dont, all we need to know is what the note said at the end of the film. A sequel would most likely ruin it, ruin the speculation that has purposely been delivered.
I agree it's as a perfect ending as it can be for this type of movie. Not only it is up for interpretation but more so it hints towards a positive note.
I know critics hated this movie, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. I feel like critics expect every movie to be an Oscar candidate and they judge everything based on that. This movie starts like a simple romance movie so it allows you to let your hair down and relax. Then it takes a few turns and you're hooked. The ending is satisfying; doesn't get much better than that.
Great story, great acting, great music, great photography. Forget the critics, they are all mercenaries. Before We Go is far better than most Oscar-winning movies.
I love this interview, so laid back and genuine and not awkward. Chris is such a thoughtful, handsome, inside and out guy. Id love to meet him one day. And thanks for uploading this, great job of u man
somebody just kill me and end this pain of loving him so much and all the talk about him liking to give surprises to his girlfriend just pierced through my heart 😭 I'm crying
I literally just finished watching the movie, and I was surpised when I saw Chrs himself directed it. Such a simple yet powerful movie, left me feeling nostalgic and even more in love with love. I've always seen Chris as Captain America, and seeing him play such a strong yet sweet role like this was just amazing. He seems such a good guy by the way.
I love seeing someone's eyes light up when they talk about something they're passionate about - especially a project, dream, or goal they're working/have worked on! Chris Evans is absolutely charming and his directorial debut was, as well. I hope to see more from him in the future.
Before We Go was one of the most beautiful, charming, original, feel-good films I've ever seen, and I've pretty much seen them all. On top of that, the fact it was Chris Evans's FIRST directorial debut is beyond mind-blowing. The meloncholy meter got ratcheted up WAY up high for this one. Kudos, Chris. Kudos to you.
I love the way this movie emphasizes and beautifies the simplicity of love. Most movies and romance movie make love out to be something so complex which it can be but it is so much more enjoyable when it’s simple and so much is said without being spoken. This is one of my favorite movies.
Thank you for this interview with Chris, I really love his honesty, it's such a lovely refreshing quality he has. I really enjoyed watching Before We Go, and I look forward to Chris' next directing project. Ok, now where can I get some of that ice cream?
My second husband husband was a Chris. For 10 beautiful years i lived a heavenly marriage, until cancer took him from me. So for the past 15 years i live on memories. So young ladies, if you get a chance, go for it. No matter what, it was worth it.
Aww god I'm always mesmerised by him! He's stunning and they way he's talking about being romantic and surprising his significant other just makes me melt, I need you in my life Chris 😍😊❤️
This movie was so good. It has a spark of realism and it is filled with dream sequences, It is so simple yet so complex and every character of this movie was portrayed in a perfect manner. There should be more Movies like these..
I purchased the movie through RU-vid and was not disappointed. A really beautiful movie with very rich dialogue, amazing acting and great directing based on the cohesiveness of the entire piece. I’ve watched it a few times over and have loved it each time. The two main actors were so perfect together, I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing these parts with the same depths of emotion and gentility. It also seemed that the man was from another era due to his concern and compassion for the young woman’s character. So lovely to watch.
my favorite movie hands down. it made me want to direct and take up acting. I've never had a movie move me in ways life can't. and this interview is making me blush! being hisbgf would be a treat ;)
DopestArtista I agree!!! This was such a beautiful movie, and it made me think about taking the same route! Omg, being his gf would be amazing! I wouldn't mind expericencing that. Or being his wife.. Okay I know, I'm pushing it lmao
Such a beautiful story! Very romantic and you can see his heart on the movie. Of course, not only his cinematography but the well written dialogue too. Love it!
This movie is soooo good. It's one of those things you always imagine to happen. Meeting a stranger and sharing your thoughts and soul to one another. Now I will spoil a little SPOILER ALERT- please don't read if you haven't seen it, will ruin the magic of the movie!! On contorary of the other movies with that premise, I liked that this one didn't put the too persons complitely in a romantical feel. It was just a sweet conection and a beautiful kiss goodbye. I loved it so much. In the middle of the movie I thought something will happen between them and I just thought to myself wouldn't it be nice if in a movie like that in the end they just seperated with a kiss. I was so glad.
I love how down to earth he is (he could do things for me in the night anytime...). Seriously though, to have a best friend like him would be amazing, entertaining, and has a lovely outlook on life and the people around him.
This film really makes me like him more as a person and an actor. I cant say that about many actors or people. Also, my list just got bigger for "people i would like to meet because of their actions, achievements and what they bring to the world". Tyler Perry Chris Evans
Those are excellent questions, Andrew! 😊 Good job. You guys should also watch Andrew's interview with Chris Evans and McKenna Grace for the movie Gifted.
honestly. this movie was lovely and in some way it made me see Chris Evans in an authentic way & I truly enjoyed that about the movie. also it portrayed him being himself, it felt real & organic. I think Chris is a genuine human being in every aspect :) wish him the best in life.
I loved the movie. It was so simple yet so good. There's enough of everything, good job. Also, he really seems so genuine I hope to see much more from him outside of MCU, bright future ahead.
Hi Chris, future wife speaking here. Could you speed up the proposal process? I mean, we haven't met yet and I've already planned the wedding for next year.
I have to constantly remind myself that I will never meet him because it is so hard not to be shallowly in love with this person who seems so perfect. Chris is honestly just an amazing person. (I WISH I could meet him lol) I'd never say I am genuinely in love with a celebrity because I don't know him but I wish I did honestly. This movie is so good and he is very impressive.
I actually really enjoyed this movie. Watched it for the second time recently & appreciated it even more. We all want someone who can love us like Nick
Only interview I have come across where Chris is being asked questions that are more about like him not his workout routine or what he does at the gym❤️ Edit: love this interview because Chris kinda gets bored with the same questions so I love how surprised and happy and took by surprise he is for this questions
The only thing i hate about this interview is when interviewer mentioned the MCU. This was mainly on focus to promote HIS MOVIE, his CRAFT and direction. Not his mcu films. could’ve asked why he chose to star and direct it by himself and all but ofcourse gotta mention mcu films. Fyi i love all of those films as a Marvel fan but I love these small stuffs even more. Chris having a time to be just... steve rogers. A human. Not just a hero... in a small, intimate and surprisingly beautiful film.
Agree! Also, I would have loved the interviewer only focus on this film without bringing up the blockbuster, because I feel like it downplayed the movie he was promoting. Instead of asking about Marvel's filming schedule, he could have asked about working with his co star Alice Eve or why he decided to starring in instead of finding another actor... I mean there are many other and more interesting questions that he could ask :/
A very good movie. I like the cinematography and the overall feel of the film. Can't help but compare it to Before Sunrise though. There are so many similarities.
