I think he felt stuck in love, stuck in life, and by finding love in Brooke, I think she helped him shift his negative thoughts about his future. Just a thought. Loved the movie :) I watched it the second time in a long time. I had forgotten how great it was.
A good romance movie doesn't always need two people getting together in the end, sometimes its the story in between that makes it great :) Frick I love this movie
Honestly I prepared myself for the ending because I'm a sucker for happily ever afters, but I can admit that this movie (regardless of how I wished it would've ended) is one of the most beautifully raw and realistic movies I've ever seen on how love is supposed to be. This movie captures the essence of true love. "Before We Go" has easily become my all-time favorite movie I've ever watched.
+Christine Victoria that's precisely how I felt after seeing this movie. There was a magic to the way it ended that no "happily ever after" story can match. I left you wishing for a different ending, while also leaving with you the feeling you'd just seen the most profound movie about relationships and love of all time. I've been so frustrated by endings like that in other movies, but in this case I kind of saw it coming, but when it happened it felt like pure perfection. "REAL" love and happiness requires taking the high road, and that has never been illustrated, or demonstrated in movie in such a honest and touching way.
I loved this movie from the first time I saw it a few years ago for a lot of reasons. The balls to direct and star in a movie that does not follow the traditional hollywood narrative of "girl is with one guy, meets new guy, cheats with new guy, leaves first guy and lives happily ever after with new guy." "Nick" and "brooke" truly connect on a deep level, emotionally and spiritually. They eventually disocover that they vibe with each other and find that the universe did bring them together to push each of them out of their self inflicted prisons. I believe they were tested in that hotel room and passed the test of true love for another. If you love someone you want them to be happy, even if it is with someone else. I respect that "nick" didn't continue to seduce "brooke" but i believe realized that a sexual encounter with him would have added more emotional weight on "brooke's" mind and added guilt of cheating in the marriage herself. In the end what they truly cherised was the beauty of truly connecting on all levels with someone and the lesson that the fear that you will never find another love is a lie. The universe is limitless, you are free to let go and be true to how you love. "Don't let the one's you love determine how you love.."

It worked for Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight series, so who knows? But this is an extraordinary movie, so it will be a challenge to come up with a worthy sequel.
I loved this movie cuz there is a level of integrity and honesty we mostly see in Chris Evans, and as director, we see it reflected in the film as well. "You gotta be okay with not being okay." He has the most incredible, simplistic way of expressing complex ideas. Hope he makes more of these, eventually get in more experience, and someday he'll probably really shock people with the emotional depth of his movies.
it's actually one of the best romance film I have ever watched. It's unpretentious and I think Alice Eve (first time saw her) thought she did a very good job.

And the fact that the ending, as much as it killed me, was so unbelievably perfect. And obviously this video is just gorgeous. I loved the voiceovers and the way you portrayed their story. FLAWLESS. This video definitely made me want to see this movie more than any trailer could. Their relationship is so beautiful, and this video perfectly captured that. Keep in mind I haven't seen the movie (yet!). Thank you for this, I have cried two times at this video at like 2 in the morning and I can tell I'll cry at this movie more in the future. Keep doing what you're doing, because it's amazing.

I started this video and stoped it,looked for the movie for about an hour before i finally found it somewhere to watch. I watched it,absolutely loved it, and then came back and finished this video and now im speechless,amazing job :)) I loved the scenery of New York and the music in the movie went along really well. And I'm not even going to start on the acting,it just felt so genuine and real. I'm not quite sure if i got the ending but *spoilers* but i like these mildly open endings,you can finnish it for yourself,what was on the back of the letter,will she deal with her marrige problems,etc. I'm so sorry this is long,just wanted to say thankyou for this beautiful video,and bringing me to watching this beautiful movie! ;) (also apologies for my grammar,i don't speak english all that well)

Im sorry this ending cannot be it ....Movie was so great that it needed THAT perfect ending cliffhanger ONLY if they would meet again in say 6 years? Whatever just make it happen it can't end like this...he's her hero but not cause of the saved bad marriage but because he saves her from it!!! Please do a 2nd movie!!!!!!!

Best video for a movie I've EVER seen! I have no idea who you are, but if you aren't making movie trailers professionally, you've completely and utterly missed your calling in life. I watched this movie for the first time last night, and I can say without a doubt that you captured the essence of this movie, in this video, and did it without giving too much away. This video, much like the movie, leave you wishing it would never end. I honestly thought this was a trailer produced by the studio to promote the movie. Absolutely outstanding job!! I'd love to see you do one of these for the 2006 movie "Griffin and Phoenix".

It is left for you to wonder or speculate, which is the beauty of it, because your experiences of love, will not be the same as someone elses. Yours will be different, and thus your interpretation of the ending will be different, whether it be they remain friends, fall apart, get married, etc.
