It's too floral for me. Smells great but to me it came off as too feminine. Now I still wear it because women absolutely love it. I get more compliments from wearing Toy Boy than any other cologne.
I tried spraying one in my left hand in the morning at the mall and totally forgot it afterwards. But lo and behold, when I went back home I smelled something really nice and it was coming from my hand. I'm not really a fan of sweeter types of fragrances, but I might give this a try
Tried this 1 today, sprayed it in my wrist, opening smells of sweet rose, and dry down is just 100% a rose 🤷🏽♂️ not bad i guess, i can see how a girl would say it smells beautiful for sure. Id like to think this 1 would be good for layering on other perfumes.
I’ve had this for a few months now (blind bought) & im obsessed. I’m not usually into florals but this has completely changed my mind- it gets a lot of compliments. The longevity is insane, I smell rose all day long. Projection is great. It’s become one of my most worn. I’d like to try Boy 2 Pearl next
I love unique scents, and this is definitely it. When I smell a lot of stuff, I can usually compare it to something else. This is definitely something that I cannot compare to anything else I’ve smelled or owned before. Very powerful, but not overbearing. It also lasts very long. I’ve received a lot of compliments wearing toy boy.
I love Toy Boy. That fragrance, and Egyptian Smoke from Dunhill as well as Aoud Exlusif from Mancera are all amazing rose based colognes. The one that beats them all by a small margin is Amouage Lyric which is a masterpiece. I am from the Middle East, and when I was living there my garden had at least 20 different species of rose, and I can almost smell these roses in each one of them...amazing.
As a man, I am a rose fanatic and I absolutely love this scent! Has been my signature since 2019, occasionally rotating it with Zaharoff Signature Rosé and the new Zaharoff Black Rose
The bear theme came from Moschino’s early collection when he made a dress with little teddy bears on the neckline around 1987-88. He was the designer with a sense of humor and I believe work for Versace. On the the Chino part is pronounced Kino. I got to meet him when he was promoting his first or second collection in the 80’s. Well, more like went to a small in store fashion show in 1988 when no one knew who he was.
Yup. Moschino Toy (now discontinued) was a bottle that was literally a plush teddy bear (designed like the exact ones on that 80s dress) that you would take the head off of and reveal the atomizer. The Toy 2 and Toy Boy bottle preserve that concept in a more practical bottle way.
Love this fragrance and managed to snag a used 85ml/100 bottle for 30sgd(for cad is basically a 1-1 conversion) Love this fragrance and after acquiring it it has literally become my signature scent, rose nuances to soften it but dirtied and spicied(pink pepper probs)up somehow enough to make it at least to some unisex(personally I think this leans masculine cause it appears earthier and spicier on my skin! Longevity is great too, 8~ hours in a tropical climate,2 sprays total(fire hose sprayer too, shocking at such a price point) as well as the quality being extremely high! It smells as natural as a fragrance can be! 9.5/10, one of my favourites even though I just got it like a week ago.
Thats a very great summary and well said. Happy to hear you have found a signature scent! Thats not easy. This designer will make you stand out for sure
Also Rose is a masculine scent in the Middle East. Roses grow nicely in that climate and combined with Oud and Amber that was traditionally imported via the old silk road, made the profile of Middle Eastern colognes that live up to this day.
@@ChadSecrets I have a lot of fragrances. Never smelt anything like this. Addicted to it. To me, it smells like a rose bush with just a little spice. Unique and really beautiful!
Great question, and great observation. Ultra male is more prominent in the pear note with added spice. Some cinnamon and added vanilla give it a bit darker of a feel. More suited for colder weather imo. Whereas in Toyboy, less prominent in pear, more prominent in the rosey florals, citrus, and touch of fruit give it a lighter, brighter feel. Both amazing fragrances. And I can't choose one over the other! Thanks for watching!
in my opinion, this perfume is the one true "unisex" and versatile perfume .. you'll smell the feminine aroma if a woman used it and vice versa 🔥🔥 amazing, simply one of my fav. daily perfume
I got a mini sample of Toy Boy. I didn't immediately like it nor dislike it. It didn't seem worth buying, but it was interesting/unique. I kept the mini sample around and a few months later I like it more and I'm contemplating purchasing a bottle (still doesn't wow me, but it's different/interesting).
I love toy boy. so unique and very strong. 2 sprays and im good for the whole day. very underrated IMHO. the pink pepper and pear are standout notes with the rose of course.
i tried. it was TERRIBLE. i almost choked on it . and i have a big collection and smell alot. Rose Blanche and Onyx by Aaaron Terence Hughes are favorites. this is Rose green is discordant. Now your advice on getting directly form Moschino is a MUST. i might have gotten a bad bottle from a retailer. but i couldnt do Toy Boy.
I just pulled the trigger on this and I regret it. It's not because of the scent, it's the performance and sillage. It must be the reformulation. It lasted for 4 hours then totally disappeared. There was no-nose blindness. It had gone.
There was not a reformulation to the best of my knowledge. Try spraying on your arm or on a t shirt, leave it in another room and check back after a couple hours.
@@ChadSecrets i know its a bad decision but right now i only have one day off per week, and the nearest fragnance store is hours away from my house so its gonna take me whole day to go and buy it and i actually blind bought most of my parfeums, i just dont really know about this one
My ears hurt every time you mispronounce moschino. How do you do a video of a cologne without knowing how to pronounce it? Takes literally 5 seconds to look it up.
