Same thing happened to the 12s. People say they flopped, I'm wondering how? Resale prices don't mean anything to me. If I like a shoe, then that's that.
I don't buy sneakers based on how much they are reselling for. Buy what you like. I support James and his movement. Plus I wear size 13. It's rare to find sneakers under retail in a size 13 on the sneaker sites
The only people that care about resale prices are resellers tbh people like me that actually wear their shoes are happy that resale prices are down so we can buy these hype shoes now without fighting hypebeast resale and botters
Its just the economy we are in.. either. retail or nothing. These Dusk has everything you like about the metallic 5s removing what we dont like the collar and big tongue. The resell price isn't a good guage on how much ppl like the shoe right now.
I don't think that ppl are expecting the AMM to shoot up in resell, but they're definitely more wearable than the Khaled. I get that the Khaleds have a Miami theme, but the colors are a bit too feminine. AMM are a women's release, but TWG made them with the intend for everyone to wear with their wardrobes. As for Collab of the year, it's clearly the KITH x CLARKS x Adidas Samba. That shoe is crazy
The grey pair way harder imo. Has more characteristics to it. Black is hard too but nothing going on but black and burgundy. The stitched 23 and Nike on the the grey pair pop too 🔥

Resellers say you all should want it Nike makes enough for ppl to get them plus have some left over Resellers change energy and say “since y’all all got em, they’re not worth much” Shoe gets called a “brick” People don’t wanna rock “bricks” Nike says a shoe is coming out Resellers say we should all want the shoe Nike only makes enough for resellers to bot and/or get hella pairs backdoored to them Regular shoe heads get the scraps Then resellers eat profits from the pairs they’ve botted and backdoored. Shoe heads pay sometimes outrageous mark up. But hey, at least they not “bricks” Wash and repeat the cycle. The 2023 shoe game😅
I can't call whether or not a shoe is going to keep value at this point. I just want what I like, and usually what I like, others don't seem to 😅. Probably all of my top shoes this year excluding the Balvin's, I believe are selling for under retail and I was able to cop every one for retail. I'm still crying about those Balvin's because I wasn't able to get em and I really don't want to pay $400 for a pair. I'm going to give collab of the year to the 3s and I'm giving the Unions 1s the runner up. I really want the black A Ma 5s so I hope I'm able to get a pair. Didn't go for the gray joints. Both Khalid & AAM are 🔥 5s. It's a shame that because they are mass produced, they won't get their proper respect. They definitely will wind up like the 12s. I hit 2 Dawn's from EQL and got a discord invoice. Hope the Dusks are as easy to get.

I kept telling people after I saw that black pair with the cream laces. I think those are gonna be the best ones when it’s all said and done. I skipped on those white/blue pair. I’m only going after the black pair.
I hit on the raffle, only entered 1 raffle on the AMM site and hit. Last time on the AMM airship black & white I entered 2 raffles and hit on both 🤷🏾♂️ And I believe the prices won’t be high. I’ll be mad if they drop below retail, cuz I didn’t wait, but that’s life. And ppl really don’t like Jordan 5’s, I believe they will be easy to get, especially at the price
The dawn pair shxts on the dusk pair. I also hit from apb/eql and I believe that eql bot protection is just really good which is why a lot of actual ppl hit. I could be wrong tho.
Love the fives! Hope I can add both these colorways to the collection. The Khaled's are also both fire pairs and the quality is insane compared to some other releases.
I loved the Khalid’s but they just weren’t wearable for me… plus the we the best logo is just too loud. Now theses 5’s can be worn often!!! Idc about resale but judging resale the availability off a well done raffle is wild to me. It’s a reach in my opinion but hey you never know. Idc … I need boffofem!

I will disagree regarding the AMM5s being similar to the Khaleds, completely different sneaker; the quality, big and small details, totally different from the Khaleds and i love my Khaleds. Now the black pair of AMM5s look similar to the Gore tex 5s, those to me look the same just different materials. I didn't enter the raffle because that shipping cost is too much and that additional $5, im waiting until drop day.
It all depends on how many pairs are made... khaled said he and nike intentionally flooded the market with his 5s so everybody that wanted them could easily get a pair
Yes they’re 5s but you gotta realize the color way plays a big part that’s why them Khalid’s didn’t do well, the amm 5s are a better looking color so they ain’t doin Khalid numbers

These are my 1st 5's in my collection. Add to the Black list lol. Got the Dawns onday of release. The Dusk was my original and still the Must Cop for me...
Both pairs are definitely on my hit list but neither are a must coo right now, i'll wait and see what the price says next year and probably cop them then

Let's keep a buck. The materials on the d AJ5 AMA Dawn have similar materials to the Green Bean 5s. I overpaid ($400.00 )for the Medium Olives. No more early pairs in this climate. Let the content creators take the early pairs.
Honestly bruh, I copped a W on both the Dusk and Dawn. However, I genuinely like the shoes and wanted both pairs. I really don’t care about resell, and if they do go below retail that’s okay too. I just want things to return to a time when anyone who wanted a pair could cop. I’m blessed to be able to cop at retail but won’t be mad if they end up going well below retail. If you got it like that then who cares how much or how little you spend? Let’s just enjoy the fact that the hype beast around Jordan releases appear to be dying down, which is a win for anyone who just wants to get a nice pair of Jordans to rock because they genuinely appreciate the shoes for what they are.

I hit on the Dawn pair. I’m treating them like I treated the AMM 12s I’m not waiting to buy from a 3rd party site. I rather spend the $259 now than to risk ending up with a fake later. Also the Dawn isn’t exclusive to AMM like the Dusk are but the extended sizes of the Dawn pair are. It was the same with the Black 12s and White 12s they went to other stores but none went pass a 12W.
They will drop but not under retail… And before people hop on my comment even if under retail on aftermarket you have to add all the fees .. so that’s still retail or a bit above retail

I picked up the Crimson Khalid 5’s for way below retail and I thought that was one of the best releases of the year. So I hope you are correct, at the end of the day people really don’t rock with 5’s, which is fine with me!
Prices still to high I'm not willing to pay more then 275....290 on a good day. It's a very good shoe but I'm not sure if I need. Well of course I don't need them cause I'll buy them and throw them on the pile, forget I have them and stumble upon them and then wear them in a few years. 💖
I copped on release day but had to get a 14M because the 13M was sold out but a guy on hear has a video and was wearing the 13 and said go a size up which I already purchased the 14M.
There a ton of EXPENSIVE Jordan 5's out there bruh. Maybe not counting PE's & F&F pairs. But there a lot. I'm a Jordan 5 fan, it's My favorite model. And I deftly don't think Khaled & AMM 5's look alike. They have a ton of differences man, Just Saying. I hope I can get Black pair for near retail though. One of the Sneakers that I need this Year.
The AMM is a lot more wearable than the Khaleds, plus DJ Khaled is a bit oversaturated. No one wants to wear his slogans. I do see the resell price of the AMMs falling, but they won't be sitting on shelves like the Khaleds did.
