Bunch of complainers. Stick to Disney. It is meant to be big and wild because it is protecting the environment for the future. Put the phone away till you get back to your lodging. Too many animals come on. Put your hat on correct you 90's fashionista. do some research before you travel anywhere. of course it's busy at 10am on a Saturday . you should know to go very early at popular places. It's open 24 hours. "Adventure Endeavor "? You know nothing about preparation for travel.
• Avoid Yellowstone in June & July. Go in August when kids are back in school. 👍🏻 • You have to know going to Yellowstone means seeing animals literally everywhere. Obey the rules, don’t get to close to them. • Yeah. There’s no service. Get off your phone and enjoy your surroundings. Take pictures and post them later when you have service. • You will absolutely run into people that don’t appreciate the park. Don’t be those people. • I’ve been to Yellowstone over 20 times. I’ve seen construction in the park a handful of times. • I’ve never ran into a bear hiking. We also talk loudly so we don’t encounter them. • This is a very inexpensive trip. The only things you’re paying for are; lodging, gas, food, your ticket into the park and then if you want souvenirs. It’s not one of those trips where you have to pay X amount of money every time you want to go see an attraction. • Yes, the park is big. But that’s the fun of it. There are soooo many different areas to explore and it’s absolutely beautiful. • GO into The Old Faithful Inn and explore. It’s a magical place. 💚 • Get yourself some Huckleberry ice cream, you won’t regret it. I do agree that you should pack your own foods!
Go in August when the kids are back in school! Where do kids go back to school in August? Anyway, Yellowstone is busy, busy, busy anytime you go. No such thing as a "slow" time anymore. Used to be, but not anymore. The difference is minimal from one time to another. My advice, if you decide to go, no matter when, pack a lot of patience. Understand that it will be crowded. Don't spend your time filming yourself, enjoy the surroundings, tune out the crowds.
One of the great things about Yellowstone is no cell service. Another great thing is that it is so big that you never run out of things to see. Furthermore, its great to see all of the animals. Wyoming sucks, tell your friends & stay home.
We = my hubby and I went to gorgeous Yellowstone twice, once back in late July 2017 and last Aug. 2018. We didn't let the unwanted traffic, unwanted crowds, and unwanted construction to ruin our trip there. Yellowstone has tons of gorgeous scenery everywhere. Miss being at Yellowstone. I don't miss the major crowds, construction at all. Wish I could go back to Yellowstone this year and next year. I took tons of pics and some videos of gorgeous Yellowstone for those 2 years. Yellowstone was my bucket list. My dream come true. I would highly recommended gorgeous Yellowstone.!!!! The Yellowstone cruise was spot of fun for us both. I heard its less crowded in the fall and winter. Just make the best of ur trip there.
We agree with everything you said! Our intentions with this video was for people just to know what to expect when visiting. We plan on going back, maybe even when there is a little bit of snow! Thank you so much for watching!👍
Thanks for the video. If I stay on a west Yellowstone hotel will I have time to enter west entrance in the morning do all the loop and be back by night to the hotel? Also is going by the end of August a good time with less crowds? Thank you
The rangers give you classes to identify bear skat so you can be aware of the types. They also provide a cinnamon bear spray, whistles and bells. Brown bear skat is dark and hard, grizzly skat is lighter in color, more massive, smells like cinnamon, and has pieces of bells and whistles in it.
As a wildlife management volunteer in the Park, all you say and recommend is spot-on! I love your "complaints" of too many animals and inability to take selfies with them. Kidding aside, each year we have serious injuries when visitors attempt to do exactly that. Elk and bison are incredibly fast and can go from meek and mild to charging in a split second. Sooo, I wish all visitors to be safe, obey the park rules, and when you park alongside the road, make sure all 4 tires are off the roadway!
Thanks for watching glad you got that we were joking. You definitely need to be safe in the park. Yes we also touched on how people don't park in correct areas.
I’m in Yellowstone right now. After all the floods. Zero traffic. No lines anywhere. Only stopped a half hour for construction. Our trip has been amazing. Yellowstone probably didn’t like you either 😅
I live in Idaho and take day trips to the park frequently. I know how to enjoy and love it. These two should learn to enjoy life. Very negative couple and I’m glad they have each other!
Hey, thanks for the kind comment LOL. I don't know if you watched the whole video or not but the whole video was sarcasm and we stayed at the end that we love the park and give a lot of helpful tips. Thanks for watching anyways LOL
The comments will reveal who gets it and who didn't pay attention in English class, or was educated by Google and Instagram. Oh....and a certain percentage will declare that bison are racists.
Hahaha totally! These are just the various challenges we think people should prepare for, but we definitely love the park! ❤ It's understandably popular! Thanks for watching Zaundra!
I found it odd...I go back every year I can...and I have no problem, except at Old Faithful with traffic. Wild life...I am all into that, love the elk, bison, bear, wolves etc. The herds, clans and packs are interesting. You couldn't post this and that....maybe it could have been a time of peace and quite, just you and her, mellow out and take in the sights as a personal experience. I am from Texas, fly to Bozeman, get my rental car, and I am off to Gardnier to my motel. (Jackson Hole is a rip-off on flights, cars and lodging ) I am right at the gate, off every morning and all over the place. I stay the week, at a mom and pop place. Why ? They are clean, friendly, helpful. It's their bread and butter to get through the winter so they keep things up and their prices are good on my budget. I hit the grocery store for frozen foods, use the frig, and microwave in my room, and all is good. Nope, one day was a bummer for sure
I dont find it negative. I think it sets my expectations just right. Going to start traveling to Yellowstone this Saturday. Thanks for the heads up. My husband is very impatient in driving and glad to let him know what to expect before we head there. 😂
Of course we have a few videos on Yellowstone. Also subscribing and liking our videos really helps us out.👍 let us know if you have any more questions.
If it's not on the 'gram, it never happened! Great funny perspective on visiting Yellowstone - glad we're morning folks, and hopefully going during the middle of the week will help somewhat with the crowds!
Yeah guys glad you enjoyed our perspective, we wanted to show the downsides without being too negative. Mid week and early will be perfect! Thanks for watching.
One of our all-time favorite places to go. So we went when it was cold. We agreed, traffic sucks so we got up early as well to do our looking around. People have to stop at every animal, that does get annoying. Selfie with animals - I mean they rarely smile anyway. 😂 For us, no internet except at one of the two lodges, which really sucked there as well, was our number one. So we learned you have to stay outside the park and commute in. We agreed with your list 💯. We wish we knew these things before going our first time. We could have planned better instead of learning as we went. WHY WASN'T THIS VIDEO OUT A YEAR AGO. It is all about us, you know! 🤣😂🤣😂 You guys rocked this!!!! ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi
Haha guys so sorry we didn't get the video out earlier!🤣🤪 definitely glad that you guys think it's helpful, commuting in is a must especially with a large rig and being fulltime. All in all we had a great experience but hope this video will help other. Like always thank you for watching!
I understand their point and I think this is a helpful video for people that might have different expectations going into this park and I don't see any reason for negative comments about this video. "Can't we all just get along?"
Wow, I thought you were doing this video as a joke. Yes Yellowstone is crowded, but because it is so big it actually helps to spread out the people somewhat. Have you ever tried to camp inside Yosemite?? You are not even allowed to drive your car in the valley! We just spent 6 days in Yellowstone with our travel trailer, 3 nights at Canyon campground, and 3 nights at Grant campground. It was beautiful. We actually thought the park was a little less crowded this year because there were no huge tour busses with foreign tourists. Of course we booked our reservations 10 months ago and it was a fabulous trip. Planning makes it happen 😉
Hey Marilyn, there was a lot of sarcasm in this video maybe it was lost 😆. We almost always stay outside of parks because we love boondocking! We were definitely joking a little, but there are some things to keep in mind when going to such a popular park. Thanks for watching.👍
I wish people fully understood sarcasm 😂😭. I just applied for a season job in Yellowstone! I am so excited! If I get the position I will be there from July to October/November!
I was going to skip this because of how I experienced Yellowstone, which was awesome and not very complicated, but the comments made me rethink that. Glad I stuck around for what a different, worse experience could be like. Thanks y'all.
So glad you had a good experience! It can definitely get crazy and we just wanted others to know what to expect in a worst-case scenario. We hope you got a few laughs too! Thanks for watching.
We went in late May of 2021 and had no issues at all. You guys are hilarious. Can't even take selfies with the animals!! LOL I am currently editing my experiences in Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The entire area is amazing!
@@matthewkirkland6497 It was wonderful and not crowded at all. This may be due to us going towards the end of Covid. There was snow in the morning at Yellowstone which made it beautiful but warm enough to melt away quickly. Check out my videos for a little more info.
So would you recommend staying in the North instead of the West? Iv been thinking how the West seems far too touristy for a week stay. Of course we still would visit the West one or 2 days but I’m definitely leaning towards the North as it looks so beautiful- I just hope it’s as beautiful as the West and I don’t regret not staying in the West.
You need to wake up and smell the roses! If you don’t like it than leave.Your generation of people are addicted to your cell phones. Just enjoy what nature has to show you in the moment. You should have grown up back in the good ole days when there wasn’t such a thing. A lot of people don’t realize the danger of those animals. They just don’t use their head. I enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
One week minimum to camp inside the park and you still won't see everything! We loved it, but we were there in late spring before the summer crowds. Good job to point out what to expect so people can prepare for it.
Was it cold around that time? I hear there's snow. Well you are definitely right though, I went only one day and didn't see even quarter of the park. Wish I planned to stay there longer.
Haha thank you for watching Angela! Glad you caught on and enjoyed our satire! We hope this video is helpful for other people while planning a trip here! 👍
Bison got too close to me when I was there about 10 years ago. I got on my car pretty quick. There were babies and the bison walked right up the road towards me. I guess most of this is sarcasm. Lol. Like this
Bwaa haaa haaa. Hilarious, y’all. You forgot to mention that most of Yellowstone is outside, so bummer for couch spuds. Most people never venture from the sights along the main roads, so miss 97% of the park. That’s what makes the backcountry so great. No people, along with the chance of being mauled by a griz. What’s not to like? Dining in Yellow is expensive and not very good, though the cafeteria at the Lake Lodge is not bad, and the dining room at the Lake Hotel is pretty good. Their buffalo steak is excellent. But everyone listen to Mel and Jess and avoid Yellowstone at all cost. 😂😂😂. If y’all want to splurge next time you go, the Fishing Bridge RV campground reopens this September, and it’s been renovated with FHU for big RVs. It’s $79 a night. They will have some sites that can accommodate 95’, so I think we’re good. Whoops, just found out completion of Fishing Bridge has been delayed yet again and now won’t open in the fall of 2021.
Lol…. Oh yes I did. I worked there. Know it extremely well. I myself am sardonic… Seriously though, DOI absolutely needs to limit personal automobiles (this is the problem). I started working there in 1986. Annual visitation was around 2.5 M. Now it is between 4.5 to 5 M. NPS will have to mandate a carrying capacity of private cars. And then ramp up a sophisticated bus system. And remember… there is just too many animals! 😂
We are going august and we are saying for a week so this video really helped me to tell what not to do and what to do and what time to wake up and stuff so thank you
Hahahaha nice 😁 I was not a fan of you guys at first you definitely got me 😂 Very smart video haha and yeah the moral of the story as usual is… people ruin everything 🙄🤦🏻♂️😂
@@AdventureEndeavor Yeah definitely going to get in there early haha that’s for sure. 😁 If you have any suggestions on decent affordable places to stay in those areas I’d really appreciate it 😊 That is looking like the tough part as of now lol
Excellent point Nancy! True, the sheer size of the park and nature of the geologic features means it's near impossible to see the sights without a car. We're glad you had a good experience there. We definitely agree Yosemite and Zion are more scenic! 😍 The animals and active volcanic spots are the most interesting part of Yellowstone. Different parks for different things. 😊 Thanks for watching!
I think I will watch videos of Yellowstone. I’ve always wanted to go , but with traffic like that , I’m good. I go to national parks for the quiet , tranquility , and peacefulness. Doesn’t seem like visiting Yellowstone is all that. You can’t even call anyone for help if something happens. As a firefighter that just doesn’t sound like a great idea to put ourselves deep in nature and you can’t call for help in case emergency. Yikes. Cool video though. Thank you for sharing. This taught me to never go to Yellowstone -- As a vet with ptsd I’m not so sure Yellowstone would good for my mental health. 😂. Too many triggers. . Stuff that just irritates normal people - I can’t deal with well. 🫡
I would definitely try to go to be honest. Just planning the shoulder season when it won't be busy and you can get a GPS spot locator if you're worried about being too far in the middle of nowhere. It's a beautiful place
Yeah, I went to Yellowstone back 1991 and I thought it was to crowded then. Then a few years back I went to Jackson for work and the town was absolute insanity with all the people. I did not even attempt to go to the park, I knew it would be even worse. And that is sad because it really is a beautiful place. But today it is so crowded that I did not even attempt to even do anything touristy, just went up on Snow King mountain to do my job and left as soon as I could.
Not bad early in the season, no crowds, lots of snow and no smoke from all the wildfires in the air everywhere. Just remember to bring winter clothes, remember it snowing on the 15th of July once at old Faithful.
Lol this video was hilarious! My dad actually thought you weren't being sarcastic 😂We are going to Yellowstone for 3 days on June 12th-14th! I am really excited!!!
Hey Melissa and Jesse!!!!We were supposed to go to Glacier and Yellowstone this July with whole bunches of Families, but everyone cancelled from Covid.....You two are really funny in your presentation!!!We know you are trying to deter everyone from going so you can have the park all to yourselves.....hahhahha....keep up the excellent videos....loved the comment about the animals and taking selfies!!!!Hank and Pam from South Texas!!
Thanks for watching guys, COVID has really three a wrench into many people's plans. It could be far worse though, just have to roll with it. Really glad you guys are enjoying the videos! Yellowstone all to ourselves, I doubt that will ever happen 🤣🤣.
I’ve never been to Yellowstone in my life, but I had a feeling it can be a shit load of garbage sitting on the ground, too many people, and I cannot stand crowded places (it gave cluster-phone moment). I think the Yellowstone is even crowded than Disneyland on holidays. Yellowstone, no thanks, I canning deal with crowds, I’ve been to Yucaipa, and sometimes it’s packed, I’m not joking, I’ve been to Yucaipa before, it’s packed with a lot of picnics. But I like apple trees, I am not a fan of porto bathrooms. If you are interested in visiting Yucaipa, it’s in California, I hope you might like farmers market shopping. And apples from trees.
Oh nice, we didn't know about the app! I bet that is helpful, also the speed limits I didn't notice. Come to think of it there were many bears that we're hit by cars when we were in the area, its a shame. Thanks for watching Eric.
@@AdventureEndeavor There is on for Teton NP too. The speed limit was a whole 45 mph and in some areas it was really hard to keep it at that speed. We were there in mid to the end of June and spent 5 days in YS and that wasn't enough time.
Obviously you did not do your homework where are you thought you could see it in one day yes the traffic is bad on the weekends it’s not bad during the week maybe you two should only stay in one day parks The traffic you say goes all the way to town was obviously a holiday weekend I go there every two years because you can never see it all and every time I go I see something different I think maybe you two should stay in RV parks where you can cuddle together
Yellowstone is always a busy park for all the tours throughout the country in the world the weekends are the worst which looks like what you to did you too did not do your homework thinking you could see it in one day you were in a national park there is no cell any national park Yosemite Yellowstone Zion it’s hard to see in one day
Yep, we're well aware of all these points. We made a video about it because we figured other people might not be and this video can help them in their research before visiting. We're really not hating on the place. This video is mostly sarcastic and we understand Yellowstone is popular for a valid reason. 👍
Gee thanks so much for the kind words! Perhaps the satire got lost in translation. We have to make a living during the week so we don't have much choice but to visit on weekends, which is why we wake up at 4 am to head from our boondocking spot into Parks before crowds arrive.
So I just watched this video, and I have to say I do not agree with your negativity. For one, maybe you should put your phones down and enjoy the park. 2. It’s a national park, news flash there is wildlife, deal with it. 3. I understand traffic is bad, see number 2, it’s a national park everyone wants to see it, it’s not just for you.
