I used to be a Great Glen Way ranger so know what Inverness to Fort Augustus route is like. I would say to anyone from the south of the country that the trail is well signposted, good mixture of terrain underfoot but very hilly. Some great views over Loch Ness depending on which route you take. Definitely remote, quiet and very very scenic. Thanks Josh takes me back, might even have to tackle this one on a bike as I also have friends to visit in Glasgow at the end. Cheers!

Hi KSA! I was wondering: why is this route described going from Inverness to Glasgow? I should say, considering the most prevailing wind direction, going the other say should be more favorite? Your throughout please? You somewhere ( aug 14th 2022) say that going up the Corrieyaick Pass from Fort Augustus is beter that the other way around. Thinking of riding the Badger Divide next year soci need to know everything there is to know about this. Thanks a million in advance!
