thank you and if you woder get modeling skill, just follow this video every one. the best way is copy for beginner really! don't hesitate. just follow! and copy!
Ty for the video, but there is one thing that never ever works for me; when I make an object editable then go into Edges mode, no matter how many edges I double click on, it never highlights all the connected edges; I always have to use the loop selection. I have tried it from C4D S24 up to 2024 and double clicking edges does not highlight more than one edge at a time. Can someone help? Ty in advance.
@VladimirDabicI figured it out. Not next to my PC now, but off the top of my head if you go into Preferences, Input and select 3 wheel mouse, it will work.
I remember when I was first getting into 3D 10 or so years ago and the first thing I modeled was a coffee cup... AND IT TOOK ME DAYS! haha. This was a nice trip down memory lane. Thanks again!
I'm using the R25 version and I'm actually struggling with the layers, I don't have the layers tab next to colors ? So I can't see the background layer or anything else, someone has the solution ?
Usually I'm not commenting, but I wanted to thank you so much for the tutorial! It's super helpful, understandable and fun to follow, even as a beginner. So, thanks again!
I've never had much time to learn cinema but having done 3 of your tutorials now, I'm loving it. Super clear and finally understanding basic UV unwrapping is amazing. Hands down the best C4d tutorials on the net! Also on some of your other tutorials, I love that you make a few mistakes and go on to correct them. That's made a huge difference as I now know where I've gone wrong with some models in the past and now know how to correct my mistakes. AWESOME!
I'm wondering if we could open the UV's only for the front of the cup (just the polygons where the texture is being applied), that way we would have a much more optimized UV space. In Modo that's totally fine, but I think C4D doesn't allow us to do it.
The R19 version I used doesn't feel that texture splitting is very easy to use, especially after relaxation, it will deform. Moreover, in 3D paint mode, I don't know why the loaded transparent texture has a black background
Yeah, r19 doesn't have new UV unwrap system. The label texture is transparent, it should be tranparent when you import, make sure that you don't have any color background layer
