These figures are taught in the Beginner-Intermediate Tango classes.
Argentine Tango has been the most popular dance of all in the popular reality shows such as Dancing with the Starts and So You Think You can Dance! However, tango is the easiest dance of all; hope everyone tries this beautiful dance. Everyone is guaranteed to be able to dance entire music in two lessons!!

Clear, repetitive steps (oh, us beginners :-P) and a good skill build-up. You guys display the right partner communication... slowing it down without it becoming mechanical and loosing the sensuous undertones. This will be helpful for my class, thank you!

I love watching and learning. I just started tango lessons and these will be great additions as well as great review of what I thought I knew. They make it look easy and flowing. I try to watch their whole bodies and movements. Some day.

Thank you very much for your encouragement. Regards to your questions, the first step of the 8 count basic is the weight change. (You have to look closer to see it.) This is to avoid man colliding the person behind him.

Огромное спасибо, очень хорошее видео! Музыка шикарна, и нет лишних повторов (те кому требудется пересмотреть, просто прокрутят назад), замечательно сделано. Только одно но - на видео очо не видно плеч партнерши - а там важно видеть что сначала поворачиваются плечи, а затем ноги. Кроме этого - все шикарно. Успехов и побольше таких хороших видео! Very userful and professional video, thank you very much! espesially the music and no words. Only one thing, that misses - when you demonstrate OCHO we can't see the lady's shoulders, which is dissapointing, cos we need to see them turning first, and then after - the legs. Voila, exept this its all perfect, thank you again for that video! and please do more ))!

Why is it labelled `8-count basic` when there are only 7 steps??? If he means beats, there are around 32, so help there.

+Ian Marshall Hi Ian, Sorry, it took me months to reply. 1 is typically man's right foot back. However, he will bump into someone behind in milonga. It is more preferable to weight change onto 1 to avoid the collision.

as far as I know in tango, the lady is going with her left foot forward and then puts it to the rigth leg

Not recommended in milonga settings as the man will collide with the person behind. Instead, wait change on 1 is highly recommended. Never back up against Line of Dance. :)

Can start with any foot/leg, depends on the lead. weight change can also be use to change/set the starting leg/foot.
