Beginner Ballet I @MissAuti 

I love this because most ballet teachers will say the sequence before it starts and expect you to remember and know what's next. Also they go super fast. I've been dancing for 10 years but my ballet has suffered because of this reason. They expect you to know about ballet when you're older because that's how the progress goes by age. But I'm a ballet 1 but ballet 1 for adults is really advanced. Lots of combos and quick speeds.

Question for my great niece who started pre ballet at age 5. almost level one. 1st year. A.k.a. Tiny lil dancer lol. She is attentive and picked up terminology faster than expected. But she has been practicing in class with 2 fingers on the barre when in first and second position. And she appears to be instructed on getting her balance. A higher level teacher wants her to jump into a higher combined class. But she just started to get her legs under her. Should I listen to our instinct and keep her in pre dance as she is still happy? Or go with one teachers opinion and raise her a level? I know it is more opinions, but been so long since I took a class myself, I am confused on what is best? Thnx all 🤗

What ballet bar do you recommend for beginners? I was thinking of a traditional wood wall mount and adding mirrors on the wall behind them. Not sure this would be a setup that works. I see you use a free standing single bar. What length do you recommend? And how does one determine the height of the bar for their body? My price point to spend is around $150 Canadian.
