Beginner Crochet Tutorial: Moss Stitch Washcloth 

I'm just learning to crochet. My SIL made a washcloth for me a few years ago & it is the best face cloth ever! I cannot wait to make one of these! Thank you so much!!

I'm glad you showed us how to go into the back loops of the foundation chain row to achieve a braided look, but if you're doing a border as you had done, doesn't this just get covered up?

I’m a beginner and have been scouring YT videos and yours is the first one I’ve seen that makes sense to me. I’ve been looking for a washcloth/dishcloth pattern and tutorial and I think I might actually be able to do this! I’ve got the supplies already and I’m going to try tonight!!

I discovered that if you bring the tail to the left you have the beginning of the magic circle. I looked at other tutorials and found them so difficult to follow and accidentally figured out I it was the beginning of the magic circle.

You can call it what you want, but it looks like the front of my new sweater that I'm going to have to make now...lol... because I don't have enough WIPs

I have a really hard time seeing the hole to go into after the first row is complete. Can't seem to find it.

May I ask what size hook your using?

Does the first loop when you begin counts as a chain or not?
