I always use a rubber base for all my gel nails. polygel, builder gel, hard gel, reg gel polish all the above.

Oh, ok, well, if it works for you. 🤗💙 Usually, the rubber base is flexible and a soft gel, so you can soak it off. Where a hard gel base is just that a hard gel, so it must be filled off. Putting a hard gel product on top of a flexible surface like a rubber base it may cause lifting. Thank you so much for watching 🤗 💙

I use madam glam base coat for everything; I've only ever use triple D Builder in a Bottle for my gel back-fills and the Madam Glam base below it. Just what I'm used to and I've never run into a conflict.

Hey Sora, Madam Glam is a soft gel, and builder gel is soft gel, so I think that's all that truly matters, but some chemicals can have different reactions to each other if there are not the same brands. But I think we all mix brands, lol. Thanks so much for watching 🤗 💙

About the base gels, the base gels for gel polishes are all soft gels/soak offs. All gels contains cross linkers but there's less cross linkers in soft gels and that's what makes them more flexible. This is also why they can be soaked off. It's easier to brake up their chemical bond. To get the best results when sculpting its best to use hard base with hard builder and same with the soak offs/soft gels. The young nails potted base gel is a hard base gel.

Hey girl, I truly appreciate your comment. This is what made sense to me. You said it way more professional lol than in my head. Lol. Use the same formula with the same formula base. Gel polishes fall under the soft gel category. As where I use hard gel to extend my nails. Now, a soft builder gel is a soak of so that would also fall under a soft gel category, and the same brand formula basecoat would be fine.? Thanks so much for watching 🤗 💙 Hugs

I use Madam Glam base for a long time tho with my YN synergy gel builds. I didn’t have any problems with it at all

I use a rubber base, from born pretty or Lissette Gel. Also, Young nails is having a sale. On the protein it's buy 1 get 1.... and the base gel is 30% and they have 2 color base gels now!!

Remember, it's always best to leave a thin layer of gel and let it grow out. hi, you were asking opinions on basecoats. i also use builder gel to create my nails, and use just a regular basecoat. i find that the nails hold pretty well (up to 3 weeks) so i don't think it makes that much of a difference. but as you said in other video's, what works for me, doesn't mean it will work for you ❤

Hey Maggie, Thank you so much for watching.🤗💙 Wow, that's a great hold. I think the main thing to remember is that when using other basecoats, it is good to stick with the same formula. Use a soft gel basecoat with soft gel products and a hard gel basecoat with hard gel products. And always remember that hard gel basecoat has to be filed off. Hard gel products can not be soaked off in acetone. Hugs 🤗💙

Some conpanys offer several basecoat some only one to all their products i use born pretty basecoat to all my gels i remove the sticky layer and then make a slip layer with the gel i use i workshop for me my point is that a base coat from a Company works with all their products

I usually buy base coat and primer in the same brand in the gel I use. I don't like to use base coat for gel polish with hard gel.

Hey hun, thank you so much, I usually leave them on for two weeks and take them off. To be honest, I love hard builder gel they just look better, in my opinion. But I am love the fastness of gelx lately, so I usually just take them off instead of filling them in. 🙃 lol, and put some gelx on. Hugs 🤗💙

I have to say, I personally hate traditional tips lmao. Those wings are the bane of my existence; I usually file them down before application but I prefer full coverage tips so I don't have to worry about leveling acrylic or hard extension gel. Personal preference. The tweezer hack is going to be gold at work though because I don't have acrylic pincers.
