This was such a cool review of the early game progression. I guess once you hit obsidian and diamond you're also able to start adding enchants and then heading to the nether, which allows you to build into mid-game tools and armour. I'm about to start a hardcore ATM8 run and your channel has been so useful already in my other playthroughs and on our server, so this is a welcome addition!
Exactly with obsidian and diamonds, a lot of options open up ^^ Happy that I was helpful so far, soon I will also cover other mods besides Silent Gear and Apotheosis as well :D
I found that using the “Blood Chest” from EvilCraft to repair your tools and armor instead of the repair kit will save you a lot of materials. It can take a minute or two with the default blood chest to fully repair your items, and you have to refill the chest with blood, but if you carry a blood extractor with you and constantly kill mobs, I find the blood chests + silent gear to be sooooo overpowered!!
Hey ! Welcome back ! After your message yesterday, I wasn't expecting you so soon, but it's nice to see you ! 6:08 ...So THAT's how they work ! I never could figure them out, especially when I was using tools with alloyed materials... Still, I find it hard to control how much materials are used, and if it's really more efficient than to swap the tool head to repair it. 12:57 Also, note that using the hammer on the raw ore allow to double the materials, so it's good to increase your output earely game. If you have the chance to find a good quantity of platinum, I'd recommand you to go for it since it's the more durable one and it's less usefull in lagre quantity compared to iron or copper ! 16:44 ...And that's *without* the golden tip upgrade, so you can expect it to be aproximativelly the same speed as your pickaxe if you give it the same upgrades. Also, veinminer *also* works with the hammer, but you will still mine 64 blocks at most. Still , it's good if you need to mine a lot, since it has more durability than the pickaxe ! (also, creeper jumpscare) 19:50 And also a mining tier upgrade, high enough to collect ancient debris and the endgame silent gear ores. That was a really nice video ! Less endgame focussed and more of an optimised progression, but I really like that ! Once again, can't wait what you will be cooking us next ! Thank you for the video, and see you next time !
Heeyyy Altas :D Haha yes, as mentioned I was working hard & efficiently ^^ Yes hammers are amazingly useful and platinum too the reason I didnt mention it was that you need a diamond or signalum pickaxe to mine platinium in the first place and if you go with Signalum it is slightly better then platinum in my opinion. But if someone used diamonds before upgrading to platinum is actually a great idea :D
Using refined obsidian as the main material, along with a signalium tool rod, lumium/glow stone tip/ and netherite coatin will yield you a 40 harvesting speed pickaxe
I have been used to tinkers for my tools and now im playing ATM9, and couldn't find a good guide. Found yours will definitely have to try out the tool and play around with stuff.
the silent gear dagger is slighty better than the sword due to a faster swing time and when i explore i tend to skip parts of it by using compressed iron since its values are also quite good and can be found/obtained quite easy
I was trying to make a tool rod part out of bone, and the game wouldn't let me. I was very confused. Thanks for showing that some upgrades is just the material thrown in with the tool/weapon! :D
Great guides, I have always suffered trying to learn silent gear and your guides help a lot, though I have a question regarding something which I prefer over all the other tools, paxels. I prefere these all in one tools than having 3 separate ones so I was wondering if you can suggest the best paxel build mainly focusing on harvest speed and harvest level and moderately on durability so I won't have to repair it very often
I do t know what I did wrong I used the Blueprint Book. Selected the Sword. Made the Iron Sword Part. Removed the book, put in my stone sword. Crafted the Iron Sword. And now ALL of my Blueprints INSIDE the blueprint book are gone! But I’m seeing you do the same thing. Using the Blueprint Book instead of pulling the blueprint out and using the blueprint. (Note: Not sure if it matters but I’m playing on ATM 9: No Frills)
Hey Panda, I saw that you promoted/shared my videos/channel on the ATM Discord. Thanks a lot for that, makes me happy that people like my content so much that they even actively share it ^^
Having problems with Silent Gear which Silent Gear not allowing me to craft with another material such as bronze, osmium, etc. Any solutions to that problem mate?
You mean material mixing in the crafting table? That is disabled in most newer versions of SG. I think you can change it in the mod options if you want.
I got a question to the dagger / armor that you showed previously, if you for example take an allthemodium alloy sword and reforge it to mythic you get more attack speed and damage, and you can also have the loot pinata and other traits. Wouldn't the sword be the better option then or am I overlooking something? Same if you reforge the allthemodium armor
@@bl4nk1e21 yea you can but the stats of the sword are better then the stats of the dagger (attack speed and damage), but I don't know if there's some other trait that makes the dagger better
Hey @persitral, yes the AllTheModium Alloy Sword is to 100% stronger then the best Silent Gear Dagger I showed. The main reason for me to show Silent Gear has 2 reasons: Firstly I prefer the progression it offers so you can start with a iron sword start enchanting and reforging it and keep upgrading your parts until you are fully maxed out Seconldy, you can get some pretty strong Silent Gear tools pretty fast often faster then you get your first All The Modium Ore ^^ So if you are in the end game go for the All The Modium Alloy Tools, they are there to be OP and the best option possible but until you reach that point Silent Gear will be often your most efficient way :D
Sadly for armour the progression is pretty similar to vanilla But one tip from my side is here Steel Armour which is almost as strong as diamond but is just made out of coal and iron ^^
How do you recommend doing a more end-game harvest tool, where you get the top harvest level, high durability, but not a crazy harvest speed? anything past 15-16 feels too fast to me, and I end up making a lot of mistakes. Im currently looking to see if I can do something with Titanium. You can get it through chemlib with squid ink.
In your other guide video about the best weapon you use fireite but i can't find it anywhere in atm9 and elephants have 80hp although the once i found. What should i use instead of fireite to coat ?
It’s honestly kind of a shame that it’s so incredibly easy to get refined obsidian as a non silent gear paxel made from it overshadows pretty much all of this in durability and speed not mention it can also be used on wood and shovelable materials. Which kind of invalidates silent gear in it’s entirety.
Currently I don't have it planned, maybe you could check my ATM8 video about it? A lot of things will be similar the only difference will be slightly different gems as well as not Elemental Craft so no Fireite for instance
Stared playing ATM9 the other day. You guide to Silent Gear has been really helpful as I have never played with this mod before. Thank you. How are you not taking damage from the mobs?
Just a question, so to get the obsidian pickaxe you had, do i need to do the progression you did for those stats? Or if i find obsidian in a chest, can i just jump to that pickaxe with the stats you got?
Hey parsa, no they dont carry over the traits are connected to the parts themselves. Meaning if you go from a iron head to a diamond head you will lose the Magnetism
If you are unexperienced with mod installation I would recommend you to check out Modrinth or Curse Forge. Both of these are launchers which allow you to easily install mods with 1 click ^^ I am still using Curse Forge but I have heard great things about Modrinth :D
