HI. Out there there are good guitar tutors there are very good guitar tutors and then there is Lauren Bateman. Wow all I can say is I have dabbled in and out of various on line guitar tutors and got lost pretty quickly as the seem to assume everyone is intermediate or better. However in my opinion Lauren Bateman is the best. The lady is so patient and easy to follow from beginner chords with two fingers to an easy progression into songs you would never dream of attempting. I wish that I could shake this lady by the hand and say thank you. I have picked up my guitar again and I am going forward all be it slowly into becoming I hope a better player. Thank you Lauren Bateman. Best Regards from Derek.
Been practicing Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man and Brown Eyed Girl for the past couple of weeks. Last night it all came together, chord changes, strumming and humming along. WOW! What an amazing feeling, I can't describe how good it made me feel! And it's all thanks to you Lauren, you're the best👌
Thank you Lauren! Just started playing a month ago... We're having a Valentines day neighbor party this Saturday. Looking forward to playing this tune for my friends. Thanks again, you make it so easy..
Thanks Lauren for leaving this easy version of Sweet Home Alabama on the net all this time. I just found it today. I have been struggling with playing a guitar for years. But it's because of people like you why I haven't given up and am able to finally start to learn how to play a guitar. May God bless you and your family abudantly. I am really excited about life again.
Once again, Lauren has worked her magic, produced a simplified version AND explained so clearly how to play it. Wish I lived in the USA to have a 1:1 lesson from this wonderful tutor
Absolutely awesome lesson. As always. Thanks for giving people .....Hope. Your teaching style is superb. Your "chunking" of a song is extremely helpful to a beginner. Your lessons are detailed, without intimidation. I take notes,..... try stuff,......then re-visit those notes, again,... then again. ... Am one of those people who is always re-watching, and looping back over your vids. Much gratitude, for your positive, laid-back approach, which gives people Hope, ..that if they really noodle around...and are PATIENT with themselves, .... then they will have fun, experience some great music classics, and learn guitar. The time, effort and thought you put into each episode's planning is much appreciated.
I’m 54 and just happened to live in Alabama. 😂 Thank you for taking time to teach an easier way to play guitar. I’ve always wanted to learn More Than A Feeling by Boston. Could you do a video on that?
Thank you for the response! How about, "Wagon Wheel", "Turn the Page", "Simple Man", and "For what it's Worth". You explain strumming patterns better than anyone, and your video on palm muting was really good! Keep up the good work, thanks again!
Awesome! Yea, I can definitely take those one's down. I already have Wagon Wheel worked out. That's a pretty easy one. I'll make that my next song I record :)

Nice. Much better than most tutorials I've found. (For a beginner anyways.) One thing I'm having trouble with is syncing the lyrics with the chords/strumming. Is there a simple way to get better at this?
I noticed you use your first 3 fingers to make your G cord. I got used to doing it using my little finger. I have a hard time going from C to G that way. Now i am going back to the first 3 finger way. My G sound cleaner that way.
Goody truck3 sent that i was his grandson i am texting on my moms phone i am a beginner and my grandpa was wright this was the first song i played thank you
C Chord is driving me crazy and keep me from doing any simple versions of songs like this. No matter how much I practice a C chord each of my three fingers go down separately. I've been just trying to go from a G to C I cannot for the life of me get my 3 fingers in sync. Any suggestions?
Mam can you do "See the fire in your eyes" Its from a video game called "Red Dead Redemption 2" . That song is very very good and i will be glad if u make a tutorial in it. Thank you :)
Thanks for the feedback Sonia. This is one of my earlier videos when I was still learning how to make a RU-vid lesson. Try one of my newer video like this one here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XXKREclOsDE.html You will see I've really improved my delivery over time. Hope you enjoy the improvements I've been making on my newer videos.
@@LaurenBateman Thank you so much for your response. I'm sorry if I've been to directly...I didn't want to offend you. Now make sense, I'm sure you are a great teacher now. I will check your latest videos! Thank you again! All the best!
Not a problem. I always try to respond when I can. :) I didn't want you assessing my teaching ability on my older videos. Hope you enjoy the newer ones.
