Never realized all of my purls were twisted!! Well now I can go back and try knitting in the round to knitting back and front again. Thanks for the video!!!

Glad this video helped you realize that! It’s really not noticeable but you’ll probably find a more even fabric with untwisted purls. Thanks for watching!

thank you for the tips!! i consider myself an advanced beginner, as i started knitting at the age of 8 with my grandmother, but stopped and only recently picked it up! i just started my first sweater with colorwork, where i had to learn how to change colors while purling, but i figured it out and it is a great feeling of getting a difficult step!!

Thank you for watching! Wow colorwork is a big step- congrats on learning how to change colors while purling! That’s definitely tricky.

I’ve been knitting and crocheting for decades (we won’t discuss how many), and I think you did an excellent job of providing tips for beginners. I liked what you said about not rushing to buy a lot of tools and yarn that will end up being used rarely or never. I’ve bought and been gifted multiple cute polymer progress keepers since they became popular, but simple lightbulb stitch markers are my usual project go-to and I think of the cute ones as pretty collectibles that I enjoy owning.

Thank you for watching and sharing your experience! I’m glad you think these are good tips for beginners 😊 I also love fun stitch markers and now collect some but I’m glad I waited a bit until I knew what type and size of stitch markers I actually use so that I really enjoy the ones I buy! I’m very similar with having my go to simple ones then the fun ones as collectibles that just add some more joy to my making
