Your videos are really helpful, I’m surprised how much more I can understand compared to half a year ago. My goal is to improve a lot in Korean this year, so I hope you keep posting such videos.

It still amazes me the differences in how people around the world celebrate the new year, here we have some rituals like putting red (for love) or yellow (for money) underwear, putting money in your shoes, blowing cinnamon in your house door, throwing lentils at yourself picking them and saving them in your wallet and so so much more 😅 I hope we have a 2024 where everything we want comes true
많이 기다렸죠~~~ 기다려주셔서 감사합니다 ❤️ Wow, those rituals sound so interesting! They are so unique! Haha I might consider wearing a yellow underwear next year haha. It does surprise me too how differently we celebrate the new year too! Without this podcast, I would’ve never learned about the rituals you’re used to, so I’m glad I made it! Thank you for sharing! 🤗❤️
We used to go for Picnic on 1st jan every yr with whole family but this time I am alone faraway from them. It was quite sad feeling but that's ok.
I saw you from tiktok and I followed you here. I also shares your tiktok video to my group page where many wanted to learn korean in a fun and relaxing way like your podcast. I hope you continue making like this. It helps a lot❤ thank you so much teacher❤ Godbless
Hi, I have a question. In the sentence "이번 해를 잘 끝낼 수 있어서 감사해요", should the verb be "끝나다" instead of "끝내다"? I learned that it should be an intransitive verb in this case. Happy New Year and thank you for your helpful podcasts.
Ahh that’s a good question! I think I used 끝내다 because I’m the subject of this action, so I’m the one ending it. For some other examples: 나는 수업을 끝냈어. 그 작가는 15화에서 드라마를 끝냈어. But from the 수업 and 드라마’s perspective, it was ended for them by 나 and 작가. To make the sentences with 수업 and 드라마 as subjects, I would say 수업이 끝났어. I hope that helps, this is how I would decide when to use 끝나다 and 끝내다 ☺️ and thank you for listening to my podcasts! ❤️
Oh no! Could you check the Canva link? I’m sorry I closed my Ko-fi page for a personal reason (please check out my community post💚) and I didn’t update the links in the description.
Happy New Year!! Your past experiences for celebrating sound really fun! 😄Growing up, I'd hang out with some close family friends and usually stay the night from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day lol. I meant to make tteokguk this year to celebrate, but I got too busy so I want to make it for Lunar New Year now haha.
Aww spending the night from New Year’s Eve to the next day would be so much fun! 😁 and yes you should!! I also didn’t have 떡국 this year so I’m craving it now 😆
