Just like to comment that I have been watching quite a few machine embroidery videos (being a beginner) you speak so clear in your tutorials and your instructions are so easy to understand, your tutorials are so informative to the beginner. I think your great.

MrsKazza55 I agree. I have watched several and this is one of the best. No ramblings of stuff I don't need to know. Direct. To the point. Not sure if you have a video on how to get designs but I need that knowledge. I love this technology but hate using my computer. I have a cricut and my daughter, who lives 16 hours away, does my cricut designs because I hate the computer portion.

Daaaang that's a nice machine! I love how you explain everything, even if it seems like a small detail. So that we all know exactly what we're doing and why. Excellent! Also, no triggers for my epilepsy like flashing lights. I usually have to have captions or read lips but, I can understand what you're saying perfectly. I appreciate all of these aspects!

I’m late to the video but Thank you so much!! As a somewhat new person to the hobby who just bought a brother innovis only to find out there’s not a lot of tutorials for this type of stuff, I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s possible to make free-standing designs by embroidering only on stabilizer with no fabric and it looks like it is! So excited to try it.

Had a bit of trouble with my first go. I recently picked up a BabyLock Ellegante2, second hand so I thought I'd give this a try. I have been doing machine embroidery since my first Designer 1 in 2003 but haven't done any in awhile .. I had some wash away in my stash and found a design for lace to use that came within the machines freebies. It doesn't completely interlock. OOPS! Looks good but will be in pieces once it hits the water. I will have to be more careful with my next selection. I love the tip of using the same thread for the bobbin. I usually use the recommended in white or black and have problems sometimes with the bobbin thread showing. I have been very impressed with your videos. You are a great teacher for one so young.

Phyllis, try adding some tulle over the stabilizer before you embroider. This will keep the design from tearing apart. there is a video on yt describing this process.

I loved this but still having problems with trims and knots on the backs of FSL; It's fine if only doing the design all in one colour, but I'm using 2 colours; and everytime my Brother Innov-is V3 jumps to the next selection even in the same colour it trims it off as it has auto jump trims, this leaves threads and a tie off at the back; I then have to try chopping the extra threads off at the end; Is there anyway around this please; Lorraine UK

Have been watching lots of embroidery tutorials sine I just bought an embroidery machine and am new to this. In fact, I bought the Spirit after you mentioned it in your video and looking at other machines. Thanks for that advice. I’ve only had it a few weeks, but have been playing with it, and so far, am very, very impressed. I would like some advice on stabilizers. When I went to buy some, I noticed that the cut away and tear away came in different weights. Do you have any advice on what fabrics to use these different weights? I need to buy some soon. Thanks. I really enjoy all your tutorials.

I agree with all the comments about how clear the instructions are. I wish you had shown how to change the bobbin with colors, as I still don’t understand how to line up the hoop after removing it to change the bobbin. Does the machine automatically know where it stopped? Do you need to reposition hoop by hand? Thanks!

Thanks. Several ways- spraying it with heavy starch and pressing it flat, you can also dissolve some of the water soluble stabilizer in a little water and resoak it in the solution then let it dry. Hope that helps.

My Brother PE750D won't let me embroider out the handle for the basket in the free standing lace design Marie Osmond Expressive Lace "Home Expressions" #802 Crafter's Collection. It says design to big for the hoop. Putting on a larger hoop doesn't help; the machine refuses to embroider it out. Wish there was a way to over ride that by using a larger hoop. Any ideas?
