What equipment are you using in order to reach that sound? What tuning also?

I'm playing standard tuning, very old round wound strings, direct into an audio interface, into my PC and use a free bass amp sim VST called SHB-1. EQ and compression plugins on Reaper DAW and that's it. Still trying to improve the sound quality.
