Kacha, I bought Waverly paint also and I am wondering if you only cleaned this table and then painted or did you have to sand the whole piece like the drawers and legs to get the paint to stick?

I love this. And I completely appreciate how you did this in a day and on a budget. I used the black Waverly paint on a little vanity this summer and I absolutely adore their black. It goes on so smooth and is a true true black. Such a sophisticated look.

I believe I might have left the top of the buffet unpainted... the color of the wood and the grain was lovely after you sanded off all the old varnish!

Hi Kacha! I love your work so much, thank you for being such a great mentor! I have a question; I live in Hawaii, and I can not seem to get any of my transfers to adhere. Is it because of the humidity? I have tried to let my pieces dry for a month before using them even and they still won't peel off of the plastic properly(won't adhere). Any suggestions?!?

That doesn't sound right? Are the transfers old? Are they being stored in extreme temperature? Which transfers are giving you trouble? I have yet to run into that problem that's why I ask you all this? I am sorry this is happening!

I forget the name, but I can tell by the packaging, it's the same brand you used in this video. I tried 2, and paid around $60 for each on Etsy. Maybe they were old? The seller had great reviews....😥

Also, more info, they would partially adhere and then rip...so strange. I was very patient with them, I spent hours trying to get them to work, ended up having to sand and start over because only fragments of the transfer would show up, and sometimes es the paint would get pulled up as well....I feel like I am cursed in the furniture realm,,,,😅

Hi! I love your channel and all of your projects. 😍. I’m a beginner, so this is wonderful. 1.) How long did you wait between coats of chalk paint? 2.) And how long did you wait after the last coat, before you applied the transfer? 3.) Also, for the gold feet, did you only do one coat? 4.) It looked like you did the gold feet after the wax, is that true? If so, why?

I do appreciate your use of the stencils. The painting using chalk paint I have down typically, I do make my own chalk paint using a good flat based paint and plaster o Paris I also use minwax to seal my projects. Now this may not be as pleasing as "anne sloane paint, the cost is effective for me. I have also learned to use spray water on my projects as I am painting. I do appreciate your stenciling video. I could see it was something you were use to doing as you held the stencil with your hands and did not tape it down. YOu're use to it. That takes pratice. YOU are a true artist. : ))

Is there a more affordable 3" X 4" sander you could recommend that would be comparable to the Surfprep sander? I can't wait to start a project inspired by Kacha!!!

Thank you so much for this tutorial Kacha! I am attempting my first piece this weekend, it is a small nightstand, and the drawers won't come out. I was going to remove the back of the piece to figure out if they can be removed but after this video I see that I don't necessarily have to remove them to paint. Thanks, I am sure you saved me a bunch of time. Love your channel! Keep posting! :)

So, i’ve never used Beverly paint till today but you love their black ‘ink’ so much that i thought i’d try it. It dries soooooo slow compared to other chalk paints. I can’t wait till i see what it looks like tomorrow but so far i’m just confused.

Have you ever do “partial” painting when piece is not damaged and you like color. Just painting some areas and add transfer or decoupage and gilding? Is it possible to do partial paint, like top and drawers only?

You could and should have slid the drawers out as far as possible when painting them. Chalk paint is very unforgiving. Gotta have that wax! I think you had the tabletop and drawer transfers upside-down.
