Got my 2024 Ninja 500 KRT edition being delivered Monday, much respect for not only having the balls to post the ride home from the dealer but actually doing it! Keep it up bro, we are behind you.....(pause) !
Gear is a good idea, but I rode for over 40 years only wearing a helmet and boots. My leather jacket and gloves were only for when it was cold or wet. I now wear helmet, boots and gloves; and a mesh jacket, if I can tolerate the heat. I only got a spot of rash on my abdomen the last time I crashed. I decided then that I was done with crashing. That was Labor Day weekend, 43 years ago. I went down a few times, but we didn't have the distraction of making videos while learning to ride, though. "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate." In that order. The horn is almost useless. It's far better to be taking muscle-memorized evasive action and then continuing on your way. Rev-bombing is an error that disconnects a very important means of controlling the outcome of interactions with other drivers. Watch DanDanTheFireman vids...
@@biills Fs, I like the acceleration for the ninja. 50-120, it's almost 1 sec faster than the cbr. But, the ninja500 only has 451cc and the cbr500r has 471. 45ps vs 48.. Anyways, thanks for you comment!
The Honda costs so much more, and weighs a lot more. I have a Grom, so I’m not a Honda hater, but the CBR500 is a miss from Honda, IMO. I am lookin’ at a CBR600R as my next bike though 👀
@@dhess34 I'm from austria, so basicslly everything is expensive here.. For the license and school, you can easily get up to +2k.. The ninja 500 is around 7.1k and the cbr 500 is around 7.5k, so price isnt really that much higher. I also dont mind the weight of the cbr. All I'm looking for are acceleration, long rides and speed tbh.
@@dhess34 I've been told to get the ninja since it's not heavy at all, has a fast acceleration and overall good top speed. I still dont know tho, cuz the cbr has overall more power, I think few kW's and hp more, but I love the acceleration of the ninja cuz it's fast. When I google, top speed of ninja 500 is around 190, cbr 500 around 180?? When I look at yt, i see both of them going 190+ kph.. So I really dont know but I'm going to need to test drive them both.
