Thank you my friend it is a topic that I'm passionate about all these little details is what's really helped me move past and grow I'm just glad I can share with you guys
And can you do pullups with the Smith with your head and neck in front of the bar and lift almost like lifting the bar like a shoulder press or something.
I'm sure there's good Smith machines out there just the one that I'm using it's completely junk I honestly have to take it completely apart and make some repairs
Great work on this stuff, cousin. I don't have much at the moment, but here's just a thank you. Hope you hit that 100k soon and get some money out of this channel. It's well earned.
I was full-range-gang before seeing your videos but have since jumped camps. They just feel better and i can get a good pump faster. Lack of progress was what put me off in the first place when i was working out regularly but these half reps really seem to work.
New subscriber here. Been enjoying going through your videos. One thing I don't think you mentioned is how many times do you work a body part a week? Thanks
Wondering if you ever use Cannabis as a pre-workout? I’ve had significant success with it. I get more reps and better mind muscle connection. Also my breathing and endurance goes past normal limits
@@JessePawlak no thank you for putting yourself out there so we can all gain from it (no pun intended). I’m getting stuck straight into it tomorrow and l’ll teach it to my son if all goes well. I have bad joints and this could really help.
Good deal. Definitely a good possibility to be able train around your injury with the half rep. At least that’s what I do. Just take it easy and don’t overdo it.
another awesome video. Already started doing this at home and at the park since coming across your videos the other night. Do you talk about duration/reps/sets anywhere? Do you shoot for a number of reps, a certain time, or are you going for failure/pump each set? thanks!
You know I have to agree with a lot of the posts that I'm reading about the half reps, partial reps, micro reps, whatever you want to call them. I'm only doing my push-ups this way from now on. Every time I tried them I just felt fuller in the chest area. Believe it or not I used to go back to full range military push-ups because I felt like I wasn't doing a " full rep". Well after watching these videos and him explaining it like no one ever did I'm never doing my pushups any other way. Bottom line is do what feels best who cares what anybody says, Plus I'm not entering any push-up contests I'm just looking for results.
I like to work on a different group every day. Like a push day, then a pulling day, and then legs. In rotation. That's for the large muscle groups and big taxing workouts. Although I still do 2 sets of knee raises and Burpees as a daily thing.
I think I might’ve met you once. In Utah. Anyways, enjoy your life experience mate. I might move back to England. It is good to see you again. Hope you’re doing well. UTAH = U Turn Around Here. Hint hint
Its quite interesting how partials has gotten a bad rep because of the science. Full rom is key. And it has to be free weight.... Without the machines these type of exercises will always have a bell curve of tension on the muscles (technically making it a partial) Bodybuilders are very much aware of this and therefore they also change exercises for the same musclegroup to move the bell curve of tension to new areas. But do not do partials!
Not too sure what you mean by that how it's gotten a bad rap because of science? All the recent studies I've seen greatly show the benefits. It seems like everybody is talking about it lately
from a jail cell to a hotel room for defending myself, from waterbags, igloo thermos watercoolers full of ice to concrete plates and dips off 1970's hotel furniture....MERIKA!
You know I was very skeptical about these half reps, until I kept watching your videos and trying it and man just after the push ups I could tell it was effective
Yeah man I just tried the half rep push-ups and I did double what I normally do and I looked in the mirror and I was flexing my chest like The Rock 😂 really works🎉
Same here man, I started getting back in shape a few years ago and I was "happy" with my progress. After following this channel and trying the partial reps... Every muscle group is exploding so much faster. I don't work out for as long or as frequently now and still get MORE results.
Hey man, im guessing youd like to grow your channel. Theres alot of competition in your field, so trying to get people attached to you vs others requires some strategies. Make a vid or 2 about your story. Make it compelling, make it relatable, this way you can increase the repeat watchers of your channel. Keep up with the workout matieral but definitely start branching out a little in order to make more bank. I mean hey, if your going to do it.. do it all the way you know? Good luck to you man, hope success finds you
You rock, dude. Thanks for free knowledge. I decided to switch prison style training entirely. Because I don't need big muscles. I wanna be lean mean functional strong and flexible machine.
I have limited space and equipment so I do my inverted rows with gymnastic rings that hang from the pull-up bar on my power rack. A necessary movement not just for beginners even though I can rep many pull-ups I always do my rows.
I always wondered why flex hangs (sitting at the top of the bar) gave a pump like no other. Now I have my answer! Any plans to run a seminar or workshop?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I'm so glad I found your channel dude. I've worked out and run all my life and used to compete in martial arts and boxed ect So.... I'm older now plus been sitting on my ass driving tankers for 8 years. My wife has always kept her figure and I gained almost a hundred pounds. Never been fat in my life until I was in my 40s. Anyhow I lost most of the weight (only 15-20 lbs to go) and since it's been so long since I lifted or did anything been looking for a while for a good place to start and your videos are very helpful man God bless you! Now I'll be able to feel like I deserve my wife again! I mean I'm very lucky she loves me but still it makes me feel like shit that she has stayed in shape all this time and I let truck driving get the best of me. Well almost all the fat is gone and because of you I found a good program to get started again
Can you do a "full" workout as you did in prison? Like litteraly 1 hour video or now how long you would train a session in prison? Just show exactly, why? Because its just cool to get a understanding of how your days in there was etcetc
Recent UK follower 2weeks in. I really like this style, makes sense and its more satisfying than what I've been doing for years. I've never really followed any gym bunny stuff, just doing my own thing , but you come across well. I'm Just getting into it and I'm feeling it for sure, but like it even though it hurts. 😊 ATB to you with this channel, you're creating an army already.👍
I think I got extremely „long“ pectoral muscles. I can do dips as many as I want I won’t feel my pecs… when I do short length motion pushups I can cook eggs on them btches 😂… don’t know what it’s called „technically“ but keeping them under tension in short length motions works 100x better for me than trying to do full motion pushups. Keep it up, you’re becoming one of my body-culture favourites on here.
Great been doing these park railings etc for years. Reverse is a great bicep . Standing semi squat pull complete one exercise. A few one arm hold and lock.
I did ten years and have done alot of the same type of workouts, but have been out about 5 years, and had kinda just got back doin mostly full reps, aside from a few bunny hop puships to warm up here an there
Bro, I have been around RU-vid since it started. I have always known the creators who were going to make it big right away. You've got that, whatever it is. I would only suggest one thing which is to share your wider experiences. I think probably a lot of people would want to hear your story and the crazy stuff you've been through. You don't look like one of those average ex-cons turned RU-vidr. Bro, you look like you've got extra sauce in you, like you're a wild man. I think possibly sharing that, maybe on a second channel, might be worth it. Like clearly you're an intense dude. You'll do okay for workout vids for sure but if you attack a wider audience I think you could make it genuinely huge. Either way, great stuff. Good luck and god bless.
Thank you my friend. I do appreciate the ideas 100%. I'm going to have to give it a shot somehow. I think the separation of channels is a good idea for that 💡
You can. Just depends on how you set up your split training. I generally do a pushing day, then a pulling day, then a leg day, then repeat although when I go to the park it doesn't matter it's just whatever I feel like doing and having fun
@@JessePawlak doing what you recommended. In 10 days I am already stronger. I can do more than the first week. Maybe 2 sets of ten and then I could not do more. Now I can do many sets.
I was in both Illinois doc and Missouri doc and Illinois still lets inmates use free weights. Missouri, however, uses strictly machines. ( Due to inmates giving dirt naps with the weights) Anyways, good money 💰, sir.
Thank you very much for your valuable advice. I'm not sure how to apply them to bench press training. Should I do partial repetitions as well? How many sets of how many repetitions with what rest time between sets? I'm trying to improve my strength and strength endurance with conventional training, but it's not working. Your approach seems very interesting. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Im curious about if and how you may mix weights along with calisthenics in your routine to get your results? Id also definitely be interested in seeing how you approach muscles like the shoulders, abs and calves. Thank you for the videos/knowledge youve shared with us.
Hey brother just wanted to say I discovered your content and I really needed this. Im in a wheelchair so i do upper body. Ive tried full range of motion and feel nothing but when i do arms (with a band) at half reps my pump is insane. Thank you for confirming this is the best way! looking forward to more!
I remember a trainer tried to get me to do pullups. Couldn't do one which was humbling. He even added a band still couldn't get one. All i was told was keep practicing which did absolutely nothing! I like your explanation and tips on the partial rep inverted rows. It makes a ton of sense so incorporating this type of training today to master the pull up. Thanks!
Time under tension is where I am going with my lifting and then I cross paths with this video which adds extra dimension to my lifting.....it may replace it for that matter.
