Kuya Alvin! If someone wants to buy a laptop na walang discrete/dedicated GPU but still want to do video editing and VERY light gaming. They should opt for AMD kasi may sariling GPU architecture na ang AMD and their integration of the graphics architecture to their CPU is way better than Intel since Intel just released their ARC GPUs 9 months ago. Syempre mahirap icompare yung architecture ni Intel and AMD sa M1 ni Apple kasi nga iba't ibang OS yung nirurun nila. Di din natin know gaano ka optimized yung macOS in conjunction with M chips unlike how Windows will cater any Intel or AMD cpu's. New note: For RAMS, 16GB is the new 8GB for this generation😂😂
Ah yes! Good point! Tried to oversimplify kasi if I included architecture and OS, mahihirapan na i-grasp if hindi ka ganun ka-familiar 😅 I started with 8GB kasi you can mostly find 16GB in laptops that cost P70k and above. Not everyone can afford a laptop that expensive. 😅
I think one of the most underrated specs we should look at is the thermal design. Base lang sa experience ko kahit gaano pa kaganda yung specs, nalilimitahan mostly yung performance dahil sa sobrang init. Mas mataas na wattage = short battery life and more heat, more heat + poor thermals + short battery life = less reliable (laging mag auauto-shutdown) (lagi rin nakaplug sa outlet, which beats the essence ng laptop na ‘you can just use it anywhere unlike a desktop).
Very well said! Yung perfect match between the user and the laptop itself. Naalala ko yung issue sa deped na intelcore, isa ako sa nabigyan nito. Mabagal talaga so ang ginawa ko nag convent ako from hdd to ssd, ngayon ang bilis ng ng DELL na ito, but then personal na yung ginawa kong upgrades for government issues..
One more thing to note, Intel and AMD processors are x86 based. They’re made with the CISC Architecture. Meanwhile, Apple M-series silicon chips are made with ARM. (RISC Architecture). Main differences nila is that x86 processors are more complex than their ARM counterparts and ARM uses significantly less power than x86. (The Apple silicon chipsets also have smth called a, “Unified Memory Architecture”. Sa ibang salita, unlike Intel/AMD CPU’s that use RAM and VRAM, Apple silicon chipsets combine their RAM and VRAM into one unified memory pool.)

Regardless po sa taon, sa OS or operating system po kayo mg focus. Kumbaga sa cellphone android 10, 11, 12 etc. (Or mac ios kng Apple) kasi diyan ibabase kung kaya nitong patakbohin ang certain apps. Ngayon kung secondhand, I won't recommend unless kakilala mo yung kukunan mo ng unit. Regardless kasi kng mumurahin o mamahalin mn yan, basta daily ginamit 3yrs pa lng babagal na yan. Kng occasional lng ginamit tulad ng pang thesis lng or pra sa PowerPoint presentation lang, maaring tumagal up to 6yrs. Luluma na yung OS niyan pra sa mga updated na apps at need mo na magpalit ng laptop. Try niyo po Home Credit.
