This sewing tutorial is really pointing out how easy CLO is to cross-use with Gerber. The sewing functions needing to be used in specific sequential and directional ways feels very similar to tracing functionalities on Gerber. Having used Gerber before in my program, this feels very familiar.
I am assuming you are talking about sewing tension? Select the SeamLinePairGroup with the Edit Sewing Tool, Tension will then appear in the Property Editor.
Hi team, great video. I am using CLO 7.3 and I am having trouble viewing the seamlines. They are barely visible and none of the thickness options in the video seems to be changing any of the sewing lines selected. Would appreciate any advice!
Im having trouble at the M:N free sewing stage - when I go to sew the sleeve it picks up the first dot and then the second but won't let me go any further round the sleeve head to finish the sewing? What could be causing this issue?
Have you tried holding the SHIFT Key down while moving to the next piece? This allows you to add more sewing into the first one. Don't release shift until you clicked to end sewing on all the segments.
Hi, thanks for this tutorial. Question: when I try to do 1-to-m sewing as of minute 11:00 approximately. I get a notification "Overlapping sewing line". I can't figure out what I do differently than you ;/
Goodaziz Studio I think that it that you already selected that seam but on the opposite side. I did this too. 2:07 This pattern is symmetrical meaning you only have to segment sew one side of the pattern (wearers left or wears right) and the other side automatically sews. 🤷♀️
Changing the fold of the collar didn't work for me, it stayed looking rounded. Any idea why it wouldn't work? Is there another way to do it with the updated version?
The Fold Arrangement Tool is the same as it's always been. You can add a fold angle in the Property Editor by selecting the Internal Line with the Edit Pattern Tool.
With M::N sewing at 10:50 I am holding shift but it will not select any other segments of the bodice besides my first selection. I am unsure what the problem is and am unable to find where to solve the issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello there. I have a question if you could please help. Just started with clo, and I can't figure out how to sew an overlapping part in the front of a skirt. For example when 2 pieces of the exact same width are sewn on top of each other and then both on a third piece. I tried the segment sewing, but it's not working, or I am not doing it right. Could you please give me some guidance? Thank you :)

How do you get certain seams sewn together before sewing everything else? I'm at 14:34 of the video and i see the center front, front bodice and side bodice front is already sewn together but the sleeves aren't. How can I do that? I've been sewing everything then hitting the simulation button, only to find that some things aren't sewn right.

I'm having an issue sewing the sleeves properly on to the sample in stage one of this, I've tried several times and it sends up scrunching the fabric severely
On the M:N Segment Sewing of the waistband, starting @ 15:19 the software creates 5 relationships where they were only 4. It seems that the seam on the waistband doesn't perfectly match the side seam on the top. I guess that is a good way to check that your seams match... or making sure that you don't have too much material at a seam point... BTW, the where were and the seem seam wasn't intentional 😉
@@CLO3D Wow! Are you kidding me? You just ask me if I have a question in a comment that I posted a year ago? And right after I have quit CLO and cancelled my subscription, absolutely frustrated of never getting and answer to my feedback or requests; right after I decided to stop supporting a company that totally ignores me, that doesn't even have any kind of decent, actually just ANY support, that just takes the money and hides from it's users. Really? You people do really live in a bubble. Don't you? And is not that I was asking for much, and probably would have been happy with an answer, any answer, just to know where I stood and that someone was listening. I haven't had too much time to work on CLO but I wanted to support you, even when it was $100 a month. And all I have being requesting was a more customizable user interface. Not everybody likes to work in a black dungeon, with icons that have little contrast, and tooltips that are barely readable and belong in a medicine information panflet. And is not that this is that hard to achieve, I have even seen older RU-vid videos of CLO with a lighter user interface. Also, ANY half way decent software have this. Any software on a Mac works on light or dark mode. But is not that, I am sure this is not that hard to do; It is that you don't give a damn, you don't care about your customers; or you would have some customer support, BUT YOU DON'T. I don't even remember what this comment was about, but I do have a question now... When are you guys going to get out of your high horses and listen to your customers? I know that I wasn't the only one asking for this... and I don't know if I would ever return to CLO, just thinking about my experience infuriates me. And this is not normal, maybe because I really wanted to like and use CLO, but the disappointment runs deep. If at least you would listen and acknowledge your customers... but whatever, I am sure you are doing fine. Good for you.
Hi this is amber i have a really urgent question that is whenever I use turned sewing, the stitching are really loose, and i can there is hollow space between the fabrics that I'm sewing together, the stitchings are flowing in the air too may i ask how can i fix that issue?
Hi. When I sewed longsleeve from Free+Sewing+Pratice file the cuffs on sleeves look ripped inside and outside (seems like pieces of skin on'em caused by tension?). What could go wrong?

Hi Jackson. Tension is still in CLO 7.2/ When you select the Edit Sewing Tool click on the sewing you want to see the Tension of, then look at the Property Editor on the Right side. Tension is the 2nd Blue option :)
CLO is designed for the fashion industry users and Marvelous Designer is designed for the entertainment industry (CG, VFX industry such as Game or Film) users. While similar, CLO is equipped with additional features that are essential to fashion designers including avatar size adjust ability and support for DXF-AAMA 2D Cad files, marker layout functions and pattern grading functions. Other features unique to CLO are: The ability to measure the avatar as a tailor would, (BOM) feature, diverse stitching visuals, and advanced 2D CAD features. On the other hand, Marvelous Designer has a wider range of manipulation tools in MD that are more akin to "sculpting" that is used in CG because those clothes do not end up being worn by people, so fit is irrelevant. In CLO these manipulation tools do not exist. Both CLO ans MD export .OBJ and FBX files.
@@CLO3D ok I see. Thanks. What a dilemma then; being a 3d designer, I'm used to 3d programs (zbrush, 3ds max and c4d), but I intend to do sewing and wanted to use my hability in 3d to make my one patterns
@@jeanroger3506 CLO also exports FBX and OBJ and so is compatible with anything that imports those file types.You should be able to use CLO for your purposes as well, sorry for the mis-answer above we amended the reply.

These are great instructions but I think the sewing feature on this program is too complicated. We should just be able to click on two items and they sew together. I'm not sure why everything has to be lined up so perfectly. This feature should be dumbed all the way down.
@@CLO3D I personally think you teach at quite an advanced level meaning most people watching are used to the terminology you use or have done something similar before. However, there are some people who need more detail when explaining how to do something on the program because I think everything is explained too quickly and I have to rewatch constantly to understand as it doesn't feel like it is for beginners
