I'd post a video about my fabric organization and storage system but "system" would be a bit of a stretch. More like "chaotic dresser drawer". Gotta figure that out. Thanks for watching!
Very informative. I have always used 14 ct aida but am looking to try a 28 ct evenweave for an sal. Hopefully I am successful. I was also going to try a tea dyed linen for an old pattern I have but you convinced me not to and I think I will be happier. Always look forward to your videos. Keep them coming!
I love working on linen, but I wish someone had warned me before the first time I tried it! I used it for something I planned to display in a hoop and I was never able to get it straight for display. Thanks for watching!
I stitched on hessian (jute?) last year. It definitely wasn't as pleasant as stitching on aida as the holes were so big and the fibres are so scratchy, but it made for a funky market tote bag :)
I don't really crossstitch but i eork with linen quite a bit. A touch of PVA glue along the edge can secure and stabilize the edge. Make sure the fabric is laying flat on something PVA wont adhere to so the weave doesn't skew. Parchment paper or plastic bags like poly mailers from deliveries work well.
