When making consecutive shapes with the pen tool, how do you make the squares (nodes) of other shapes show up while trying to connect their nodes? I am unable to do so and my borders don't work properly. Thanks
Hey Pranav, thx for the question! I will try to answer this as best I can without images. First you can still see nodes on a selected curve when you start using the pen tool (so just select one shape you want to start off before selecting the pen tool). On your toolbar there are five buttons for "Snap:" (next to "Action:", should be same row as fill and stroke), activating the leftmost one (Align to nodes of selected curves) can give you a good starting off point. This only works until you have placed two nodes of the new curve down (as you now have technically selected a new curve). There is also a magnet button on the top row which is also (confusingly enough) snapping. If you press the arrow next to this you can see what kind of snapping options you can enable: Enabling "Snap to object geometry" (second to last) will let you snap to lines and nodes of other curves (you will see a highlight of the shape you're snapping to). This only works for a certain number of layers (you can set this in the "magnet menu") up and down from where you're working on, so if you find that you can't snap to the curve you're interested in you might have to move some stuff around in your layer stack. I also prefer to have "snap to shape key points" and "snap to object bounding boxes" on, as well as "only snap to visible objects" to make my life easier, but this also depends a bit on the work I want to do (sometimes snapping can be very annoying). Sorry for the wall of text, hope this was herlpful! If you still got some questions let me know! Might just make a snapping tool video :p tldr: use the snapping options to enable you to snap to other geometries
